Inika, Khadi & Organically Epic

junij 23, 2019

Hiya loves. How are you all doing? I want to share with you my latest LoveLula haul, a very successful haul might I add. I got something to nourish my hair, make up my lashes and scrape my tongue haha. Since the later is the least exciting but also really good for you let me start with it.
Khadi Balsam Hair Oil, Inika Bold Lash Mascara, Organically Epic Tongue Cleaner. LoveLula
Organically Epic Stainless Steel Tongue Cleanser Scraper, No plastic. LoveLula
Organically Epic Tongue Cleaner* is a stainless steel tongue cleaner that will remove debris from the tongue fighting bad breath as well as enhancing taste buds. I was searching for something like this for a while and ended up ordering one on Etsy. It was fine but it didn't last me too long so I was really excited to find this one at LoveLula. In our shops here in Slovenia you can only find plastic tongue scrapers and I rather use nothing than plastic, especially since I know there are other options. The Organically Epic scraper has thick blunt edges to avoid abrasions which I really enjoy because my previous was rather slim and I could damage my tongue a little bit. If you haven't tried anything like this before you place it on the back of your tongue after you're done brushing your teeth and gently scrape it a few times. That's it. Really simple but beneficial. You can get Organically Epic Tongue Cleaner here.
Khadi Balsam Ayurvedic Hair Oil. Controls Dandruff, itchy, oily scalp. LoveLula
Khadi Balsam Ayurvedic Hair Oil. Controls Dandruff, itchy, oily scalp. LoveLula
Khadi Balsam Hair Oil* effectively improve the condition of the scalp and hair. This hair oil is antifungal, antibacterial, it regulates sebum production and prevents itching. I have oily hair which is very unfortunate so obviously I was intrigued by it. It contains Fenugreek, Mustard and Neem which help to clear the scalp and prevent flaking, Lemon and Tea Tree EO's help to clear sebum build up. Balsam Hair Oil has a very warming and strong scent. I love the packaging - I can just use the pipette straight on my scalp and then message it all in. I only use this oil as a pre-wash scalp and hair treatment, so I use it all over and leave it on for an hour, but preferably overnight. Thus far I haven't seen any drastic changes regarding my oily scalp which I didn't really expect but my hair do feel very soft and less frizzy since I've been using it. I like it. You can get Khadi Balsam Hair Oil here.
Inika Bold Lash Vegan Mascara. LoveLulaInika Bold Lash Vegan Mascara. LoveLula
Inika Bold Lash Mascara* is one of the new Inika mascaras and I quite like this one. From their new mascaras I also tried the Curvy Lash* which really isn't my cup of tea. My fave is still their Long Lash Mascara*, one of my fave natural mascaras but this Bold Lash is pretty great too. I've been using it this week and I actually really like the more subtle look it gives me. Curvy Lash Mascara doesn't do anything for my lashes and Long Lash really makes my lashes pop but this one, the Bold Lash is just right - it doesn't look too heavy but just right. I did think it would make my lashes more bold (because of the name) but it's not as dramatic as I thought it would be. I find that Inika's mascaras perform better once they've been open for a few weeks so take my review more as a first impression. I may get them dramatic lashes that they describe you'd get with this mascara. Talking about the description - " Lashes appear thicker-than-ever and dramatic in a single swipe." - well I definitely don't get a dramatic look in a single swipe, I apply three or four coats. Mascaras are so personal and what works for some may not work for others but know that I like this one and I personally get on with it well. You can get Inika Bold Lash Mascara here.

You can get all these products at LoveLula.

Have a great Sunday!

Weekly Faves with 5Yina, Blüh Alchemy, Earthwise Beauty & Agent Nateur

junij 09, 2019

Hi loves! Doing well? I'm loving this summer weather, it's been so sunny and hot here and what it felt like months of rain, this June weather really feels good. After a good week I'm coming at you with my weekly favourite products. I haven't done this kind of post in a long while so here are the products I've been really loving lately, especially this past week.
Weekly Favourites with Agent Nateur, Beauty Heroes, 5Yina, Boxwalla, Farizad's Veil SPF Earthwise Beauty, Bluh Alchemy
Agent Nateur Holi (Skin) Body Serum* is the Hero of June's Beauty Discovery, which you can check out here and I also mentioned the box on my Instagram here. I saw some discussions about this product regarding its name and just wanted to say that don't be fooled by the word serum, this is a body oil. A beautiful lightweight oil that quickly sinks into the skin and moisturizes my skin all day long. This is the first reason why I love it and the second is its scent. It has a divine aroma of Roses, which is warming and comforting yet not too overpowering and in your face, which I enjoy very much. I prefer more subtle scents and this one is like that. The one thing I don't like about it is the plastic packaging, I really wish it was glass. You can get Agent Nateur Holi (Skin) Body Serum here but for the time being you can get it in the June Beauty Discovery (you can subscribe here) where you'll also get their Holi (Oil) Refining Ageless Face Serum.

Blüh Alchemy Cleansing Oil* is a facial cleanser with multiple benefits designed to fit most skin types. This is one gorgeous cleansing oil with oils of Safflower, Pumpkin, Sesame, Kakadu Plum and Black Cumin. It has a super refreshing scent of Lemons which I love, especially for this time of year. So nice! This oil cleanser effectively yet gently removes all my makeup, it isn't drying and yeah, it's just really good. Because of Black Cumin Seed Oil I think it's especially beneficial for oily and combination skin like my own - it can be clarifying and in the summer that's really good for the skin because of all the sweat and sunscreen. Highly recommend. You can get Blüh Alchemy Cleansing Oil here.

Blüh Alchemy Exfoliating Cleanser* is an exfoliator with Evaporated Cane Juice, Saponified Oils of Coconut, Olive, Jojoba, Aloe. There's French Green Clay, Kakadu Plum, Moringa Leaf Powder and other amazing ingredients. Like the Cleansing Oil, this too has a citrus scent - it smells like Oranges, so yum! It contains Cold Pressed Grapefruit, Lemon and Orange Peel Oils. Before applying on the face you have to mix it with a few drops of water. I do this in the palm of my hand. It slightly transforms its colour and texture, and then I gently massage it all over my face, leave on my skin for a few minutes and then rinse off with water. My skin is SO soft and moisturized, not to mention the smoothness! Stunning products. I've been utterly impressed with Blüh Alchemy products. You can get Blüh Alchemy Exfoliating Cleanser here.

Earthwise Beauty Farizad's Veil Sun Reflector (review) is my absolute favourite facial sunscreen EVER! I said this numerous times before and I will continue to do so because it's so freaking amazing!! This is a powder spf with Non-Nano Uncoated Zinc Oxide (94%, sourced from Canada), Aloe Vera Leaf Powder and a few EO's. I mostly smell Rose Geranium and Rose (if you don't like the scent you can easily leave the jar open for a few hours or a day and the scent will become more subtle). Personally I love it. Farizad's Veil can be mixed with literally any facial oil you use and that for me is the best thing ever. It can also be mixed with a serum or a moisturizer (that contain oils). So it can be as lightweight as your oil of choice is, and what is not to love about that? I use Farizad's Veil every single day, no matter the weather or time of year and it lasts absolute ages! Some also mix it with other sunscreens for that additional boost of spf protection. Love, love, love. You can get Earthwise Beauty Farizad's Veil Sun Reflector here (my affiliate code Loveliness saves 15%).

5Yina LUCENT Summer Hydrosol* (review) is one of the products from June Boxwalla Box (get it here) and sadly I just used up this facial mist today. I loved it! I used it in the morning before applying my skincare and then on top of my makeup, and then also in the evenings. Contains the hydrating and soothing Aloe Vera and Distillates of Cucumber, Helichrysum, Peppermint, Honeysuckle and Witch Hazel. Great for blemish prone, combination, oily skin. It's soothing, clarifying and balancing. You can get 5Yina LUCENT Summer Hydrosol here and for the time being also in the June Boxwalla Box here.

5Yina LUCENT Summer Beauty Oil* (review) is the second product in the June Boxwalla Box and the same as the hydrosol, I love this oil with a passion. It's really lightweight and ideal for those with normal to oily/combination skin. It has a herbaceous scent, a really lovely scent. It's supercharged with extracts from Chinese medicinal plants, vitamins, antioxidants, and active phytonutrients to help minimize appearance of pores, re-balance sebum production, reduce inflammation, and prevent breakouts. There's Camellia, Rosehip, Sea Buckthorn, Schisandra, Licorice Root and more. It's balancing, light, moisturizing and non-comedogenic. A gorgeous facial oil. You can get 5Yina LUCENT Summer Beauty Oil here or in the June Boxwalla Beauty Box here.

Spot any faves?

With love & light,

June Boxwalla Beauty Box w/ 5YINA

junij 01, 2019

Hi lovelies! How are you doing? I don't want to be one of those people who glorify the word busy but I've been so busy lately that I didn't find much time to write here on my beloved blog. So let me keep this short, I want to introduce you to the June Boxwalla Beauty Box today. Spoiler alert: it's so gorgeous!

In the June Boxwalla Beauty Box* themed 'A Summer in Hangzhou' you will find two products from 5YINA: LUCENT Summer Hydrolat and LUCENT Summer Beauty Oil. Check it out here.

5YINA was founded by Angela Chau & Ervina Wu at the end of 2015. This is my first time trying out the brand and I have to say that I like them a lot. Both founders are trained practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine and they formulate their luxurious products to integrate the wisdom of Chinese medicine with modern science. The products are also formulated keeping in mind the different seasons and how our skin's needs changes with each season. Of course Lavanya of Boxwalla chose 5YINA's LUCENT Summer Beauty Ritual, that was inspired by summer spent in Hangzhou, China.

June Boxwalla Beauty Box 5YINA A Summer in Hangzhou LUCENT Summer Hydrolat
LUCENT Summer Hydrolat is a beautiful Aloe Vera based hydrolat. This is a hydrating facial mist with distilates of Cucumber, Helichrysum, Peppermint, Honeysuckle and Witch Hazel. To these are added in-house extracts from Chinese medicinal plants like Green Tea, Snow Mushroom, Ginseng, Licorice Root, and more. These products are easy for me to describe their scents but in this hydrolat I can smell Neroli. I find this mist to be hydrating and really nice. I've been using it before I apply my serum and oil, after I apply my makeup and sometimes I also like to use it throughout the day, when I feel like I need a little pick me up. It's beautiful and I would for sure like to try their other hydrolats as well. You can check out the LUCENT Summer Hydrolat here.
June Boxwalla Beauty Box 5YINA A Summer in Hangzhou LUCENT Summer Beauty Oil
LUCENT Summer Beauty Oil is a lightweight facial oil that I've been using daily, am and pm. It is made in a base of Camellia Seed Oil, along with Sacred Lotus, Perilla seed, Schisandra Berries, Snow Mushroom, and there are also Sea Buckthorn and Rosehip Seed Oil. The oil has a gorgeous orange colour and a scent that I can't describe for the life of me. There's Jasmine, Petitgrain, Patchoulli, Vetiver - I have no idea what I'm smelling but I like its herbaceous aroma. It's described as clarifying, purifying and balancing and I will have to say that I do find it balancing & great for my combination skin. I adore its lightweight consistency so much, really a joy to use. You can check out LUCENT Summer Beauty Oil here.

Let me just share how I like to use these two products.

In the morning I use the hydrolat, Earthwise Beauty Nap in the Meadow*, Bluh Alchemy Eye Oil Serum* and then a blend of Summer Beauty Oil + Earthwise Beauty Farizad's Veil Sun Reflector.

In the evening I first apply some fresh aloe vera (straight from the plant), FYINA'a hydrolat on top, following up with Bluh Alchemy Eye Oil Serum* and 5YINA's oil.

Today is the last day to subscribe to June's Boxwalla Beauty Box to get it for $49.95 (the box is valued at $180). You can do so here. As you may know, Boxwalla is a bi-monthly subscription box and you can cancel your subscription at any time.
