Three Gorgeous & Effective Detoxifying Face Masks

april 04, 2019

Hi lovelies! How are you doing today? Hopefully really well. I have another roundup of current fave products. This time I'm going to be talking about face masks that help to decongest and detoxify the skin. There's a number of wonderful masks out there that work wonders but these three are the ones I've been really enjoying lately.
Malaya Organics Advanced Repair Mask, Honua Aina Mask, Nini Organics Natura Miracle Mask

Mālayā Organics Advanced Repair Mask* is a mask I've sang praises to a few times before (read my review here). It is just so great! This clarifying, healing and calming mask is based on the amazing moisturizing and anti-bacterial Raw Neem Flower Honey, detoxifying Clays, Colloidal Silver and a proprietary complex of 9 reparative herbs like Nettle, Neem and Blue Tansy. The blend is stunning & this is one of those masks that give instant results. I've said it in my review here that it does everything! It's healing, repairing, detoxifying, soothing, it calms down inflammation and redness, it gently exfoliates the skin and reveals smooth, soft and hydrated skin. It's truly amazing. Until April 10th you can get Mālayā Organics Advanced Repair Mask in the April Boxwalla Beauty Box - get it here and read my review here. You can also get it straight from them here where you can use my affiliate code MALAYAJANA for 15% off your order.

Nini Organics Natura Miracle Mask* is a gorgeous powder mask made with a blend of stunning ingredients that help to heal & treat acne-prone skin. In this mask are Cacao (I always really enjoy masks with cacao powder and this one is no exception), Pink, Green & Rhassoul Clays, Coconut Milk, Oat Meal, Hibiscus, and much more. The ingredient list is so good I just want to write down each and every single ingredient the mask contains. Let me just quickly also mention that there's Neem, Spirulina, Coconut Charcoal and Turmeric. The Miracle Mask was designed to be "your pollution solution. Pollution & grim can lead to acne, dull & congested skin, but with this mask, you can say goodbye to those pesky skin problems." Alex, the co-founder of Nini Organics, is all about experimenting when it comes to this mask. You can mix it with a number of ingredients like carrot juice, mashed avocado, kombucha, and the list goes on. I'm usually so boring and only mix it with water, and sometimes raw, organic honey when I need some extra moisture in my skin. If you have sensitive skin this mask should be left on for about 5 minutes, I leave it on for about 20. I make sure to mist it with water so it doesn't dry out. Once I rinse it off, my skin is left smooth & decongested, and sometimes also a bit red becuase it stimulates microcirculation. I feel like it really helps to pull out impurities, heal the skin but it also brings in well appreciated antioxidants. Oh and also I love mixing this mask with the Nini Organics Coffee & Cacao Face Scrub*, such a good combination. I've been using Nini Organics products for a little while now and this mask is definitely a standout in their collection. I really like their Natura Detox Oil* too (I mentioned it in this post). Definitely a brand to try. Nini Organics is a brand made in the UK so if you want to try out their Natura Miracle Mask you can order from them here. The brand is also available at The Green Jungle Beauty Shop where you can use my affiliate code Jana for 10% off (you can order here).

Honua 'Āina Mask* (review) is one of two masks from Honua and I have to say that this one is my fave. 'Āina is as described - detoxifying and stimulating. 'Āina is a mask "for the land lovers" and it utilizes natures gifts from the land to give any skin type a revitalized glow. This tropical treat for the skin draws out impurities from the skin thanks to Bamboo Charcoal, Hawaiian Chilli Pepper aids in detoxification and stimulation of blood flow (it tingles slightly, especially right after you apply it) and Kalo, from the Hawaiian super plant taro, which is used for its healing sensations, diminishing signs of acne and softening the appearance of wrinkles. There's also Cacao, Turmeric, Willow Bark, all mixed in Hawaiian Raw Honey. This mask has a very unique consistency (the same as their other mask Moana* - my review here) and it's unlike any other honey based masks. It's almost gel-like, very smooth, there's no separation so you don't have to mix the mask before use. You need only a small amount of the mask to apply it evenly on your entire face and trust me that less is more when it comes to this mask (because it tingles more if you apply a thicker layer). I love that 'Āina is stimulating, detoxifying, non-drying (but it does dry out on the skin). I usually leave it on my skin for 10-15 minutes but just the other day I watched Beauty Heroes' Instagram stories where Jeannie and Kapua (Honua's founder) talked about 'Āina. Kapua said she sometimes uses 'Āina as a cleanser/quick mask in the shower & I've tried that and it's lovely! I left it on for about 5 minutes and I loved the quick detox my skin received. Will definitely be doing it more often. Honua 'Āina Mask is available at different online shops. I got it in the October Clean Beauty Box* (read my review here) but I'm not sure it's available there at the moment (but know that members always have 15% off their order). It's also available in the Beauty Heroes store (see here). If you live in Europe you can get it at So Natural Beauty here.

Wishing you a great day!

Love & light,

Jana xx
