Three-Product Evening Skincare Routine

februar 25, 2019

Sometimes I go all out with my skincare routines and use a lot of products, and then other times I'm all about simplicity and minimalism when it comes to skincare. When my skin is congested and unbalanced I usually like to treat & heal it with only a few products, the less the better. Sometimes I feel like my skin is too hydrated and therefore my pores can get clogged so I love using just a facial mist and an oil - that really works for my skin when it's not feeling its best.

Leahlani Pamplemousse Tropical Enzyme Cleansing Oil
Instead of using two different cleansers (like I often do), I choose only one and what better than a rinsable cleansing oil? I adore Leahlani's Pamplemousse Tropical Enzyme Cleansing Oil*, described as "fresh, fun and effective". It has a sweet, warming and citrusy scent of Grapefruit, Vanilla and Plumeria, and it beautifully removes all my makeup and impurities. I apply 3-4 pumps onto my face and thoroughly but gently massage my face. Rinse with water and voila, my skin is fresh, properly cleansed and refreshed. Sometimes I repeat the process or use a warm washcloth to make sure every single trace of oil and makeup is removed. I love how fuss free this cleansing oil is and that the skin is left fresh & soft and not greasy at all. Great for when you're in a hurry or when travelling.

Wabi-Sabi Botanicals Still Waters Soothing Ritaul Facial Mist Wild French Lavender, Tulsi and Lemongrass
Second step is to apply a facial mist. Currently I'm really into Wabi-Sabi Botanicals' Still Waters Soothing Ritual Facial Mist*. Described as a light, healing blend of skin-soothing botanicals that soothe and protect while elevating the effectiveness of the treats you use before and after it. This beautiful mist contains only three ingredients, three hydrosols: balancing and soothing Wild French Lavender, purifying, calming and balancing Tulsi and hydrating Lemongrass. This trio gently fights bacteria and free radicals that cause redness, inflammation, and upset skin. A gentle cocoon for skin in need of extra, loving care and kindness. Still Waters smells like Tulsi (it doesn't smell like Lavender or Lemongrass so Tulsi it is haha) and it feels so great on the skin. I will never say no to a soothing, calming and balancing product. Plus omg what about that absolutely stunning packaging?!! LOVE.

African Botanics Fleurs d'Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil. Plant based retinol. Boxwalla Beauty Box
Last step in my minimal evening skincare routine is an oil and I can always count on this one - African Botanics Fleurs d'Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil* (from a previous Boxwalla Beauty Box - review here). I've said it a million times before but let me say it again, this oil is the best facial oil I've ever tried!! It literally transforms my skin overnight and I love it with such passion it's hard to describe. It soothes and calms inflammation & redness, it evens out my skin tone, it reduces hyperpigmentation, balances out my skin and is just everything I wish in a product. It's extremely effective and I'm just obsessed. I don't use it every day because it's too precious but when I do, I'm always blown away by the results the next morning. Unfortunately it's very expensive but if it's in your budget, then I highly recommend giving it a go.

Hope you enjoyed this post & have a beautiful week.
