A Cleanser with Green Clay & The Gorgeous Formula

november 29, 2018

Hello lovelies! How are you all doing today? Hope you're all having a great week. Mine has been alright, not the best if I'm honest. It's not always fun to have a libra brain when you're constantly weighing pros and cons. Ugh the joys of life. Anyways, today I want to introduce you to two products. They are very different but both have the same goal, to make sure the skin is looking healthy and happy. So first we have a skincare product and the second is actually a supplement. Let's start with the latter, shall we?
ZOYO Beauty Elixir The Gorgeous Formula Food Supplement Organic, By Sarah London Green Clay Cleansing Balm. Love Lula

ZOYO Beauty Elixir The Gorgeous Formula Food Supplement Organic Vegan. Love Lula
ZOJO Beauty Elixir The Gorgeous Formula* (35g) is a supplement or a "powerful beauty elixir", made with natural revitalising ingredients, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. ZOYO is a Polish brand, founded by a woman who shares the same name as my mom, Marta, and she based the brand on adaptogens and their unique natural strength. Adaptogens are plants and herbs that help to support the adrenal system, they help to balance hormones, they are said to help the body to resist stressors of all kinds. Adaptogens are healing plants: they help balance, restore and protect the body. The first plants that come to mind when I think of adaptogens are mushrooms like Chaga, Cordyceps, Reishi, but Ashwagandha, Holy Basil and Panax Ginseng are also adaptogens. ZOJO products contain some of these beneficial ingredients and every single ingredient they use in their elixirs is 100% organic. I was kindly gifted their Gorgeous Formula and have been experimenting with it for the last couple of weeks. This blend promises radiant skin, it fights the first signs of ageing and supports the immune system. The Gorgeous Formula is vegan, gluten, soy and yeast free, there's no additives, just organic plants of Barley Grass, Blackcurrant, Baobab, Ashwagandha, Mucuna Pruriens, Triphala and Matcha. Like it's always the case with superfoods and supplements, it's hard to tell results only after a few weeks (of inconsistent use) but nonetheless I like to incorporate this formula into my weekly routine. I'd say it has quite a strong flavour (I think I taste triphala), it's quite bitter and not really that tasty. I prefer to mix a 1/2 to 1 teaspoon with some water and drink it like a shot (while I'm pinching my nose haha). I wouldn't recommend mixing it in a smoothie cause it would probably change the taste and I don't think it would be that delicious. All in all I'm very interested in trying out more of their products and would definitely recommend ZOYO Beauty Elixirs if you're searching for some new supplements to try out. You can get The Gorgeous Formula here (they also have a bigger 150g packaging which you can get here).
By Sarah London Green Clay Cleansing Balm. Love Lula
By Sarah London Green Clay Cleansing Balm. Love Lula By Sarah London Green Clay Cleansing Balm. Love Lula
By Sarah London Green Clay Cleansing Balm* is a cleanser I've been using quite religiously for the past two or three weeks. By Sarah London was founded by two sisters, Sarah and Lauren, and is actually a fairly new brand, launched only a year ago. All of their skincare is hand-blended in London, they use only glass packaging and lots of their ingredients are organic - they're "committed to using only the finest natural and organic, ethically-sourced plant-based ingredients to create beautiful skin care suited to all skin types." Some of their products are vegan too, but this cleanser isn't because it contains Beeswax. This cleansing balm is very straightforward with the ingredient list: besides Beeswax there's also Apricot Kernel and Coconut Oils, and Green Clay. Four ingredients, that's it! It is suitable for men and women and all skin types, including oily and dry skin. I know that some skins react negatively to coconut oil, mine combination skin luckily doesn't or at least not that easily. I absolutely love the addition of Green Clay, which is an ingredient that detoxifies and helps to clear out the pores. I was half expecting that this balm wouldn't really be a "balm" because of the clay, but it has that buttery balmy consistency that balms typically have. It melts upon contact with skin and turns into an oil. It's soft and smooth and really lovely to use. I was also expecting some exfoliating particles (again because of the clay) but there's none of that. Seriously if I didn't know there's clay in it, I wouldn't even know. The balm gently but thoroughly removes all my makeup and impurities from the day and leaves my skin soft and slightly hydrated. I really like this cleansing balm, I love the minimal amount of ingredients and I will definitely try something else from By Sarah London. You can get the Green Clay Cleansing Balm here.

Have a great Thursday!

With love,

Jana xx

How to Layer Your Skincare Products featuring Earthwise Beauty

november 22, 2018

Through the years of using and trying out Earthwise Beauty products I came to deeply appreciate and love pretty much all of the super potent and active blends Ava has created. Some are of course more in line with what my skin needs and this is where I really notice the differences and uniqueness of Earthwise Beauty products and how some work amazingly well on my skin, and others are more suited for my mom’s skin, which is normal to dry, mature skin. Just to give you a bit of an insight into my skin type, if I would describe it with one word I would say it’s combination. But as you may know skin is always changing and the skin type and the problems you might had five years ago are no longer there today. So to be more precise, my skin flows from being normal-ish to oily, it really depends on the time of year, my diet, hormones, stress. But for the most part it is combination. My main concern is hyperpigmentation and since I just recently turned 31, I’m very appreciative of products that support well aging and help my skin to stay plump and firm. To achieve radiant and healthy skin so many of us strive for, I’m going to share with you my tips and tricks on how you can layer Earthwise Beauty skincare products and get the most out of them.
Earthwise Beauty Cistus and Moonlight Face Mist Aura Mist
Earthwise Beauty Marshmallow Face Cleanser
Let’s start with the most important step in your skincare routine, cleansing. I went to bed with a full face of makeup only once. That was more than ten years ago and I did try to remove it with water. You can imagine that didn’t go down very well. From a young age of 14 or 15 it was ingrained in me to always remove makeup and cleanse my face before sleep. I think that properly cleansed skin is the best way to achieve clearer and healthier skin, and it also assures that all the serums and creams can penetrate deeper into the skin. Makeup and impurities can additionally clog pores and the result can be congested, dull skin. For my evening cleanse I’m the biggest fan of using cleansing oils & balms and removing them with a warm washcloth. There are many wonderful products on the market, I recommend using those that are full of organic ingredients. For the longest time I was using organic, extra virgin coconut oil as my first evening cleanser and that worked so well for my skin. It can be comedogenic and can clog pores so be careful of that. If you haven’t used an oil cleanser, it should be applied on dry skin (that is key!) and massaged all over the face, including eyes. Once the oils dissolve all the makeup, sunscreen and dirt on your skin, take a washcloth (I love organic cotton cloths but you can also use muslin) and rinse it with very warm to hot water. Lay it over your face and neck, gently press onto the skin and leave it just like that for about 30 seconds. Or at least 10. Not only that the heat will additionally help to clean out your pores but it will also have a beneficial effect on your lymphatic system. Then gently wipe off the makeup and cleansing oil/balm, rinse the washcloth and repeat with the clean side. Then it’s time for a second cleanse and for that I love the Marshmallow Face Cleanser* (my review here). This is a very concentrated, slightly foamy cleanser for all skin types, and can be used in the morning as well. A little goes a very long way with this cleanser and it lasts absolute ages. The herbal infusion of Marshmallow, Calendula and Chamomile is really special and I love that it is so very calming, soothing and hydrating.

Second step of the routine or the first step in layering products is to apply a toner or a mist. Cistus and Moonlight Face Mist* (review here) is so much more than you regular mist. It is filled with not only good ingredients but also good energy. Ever since Earthwise Beauty’s rebranding, I’ve been really drawn to this mist and I’ve been using it every single day, usually twice a day. I love that it contains Aloe Vera juice, which is a humectant - it helps to attract water to the surface of the skin, and also delivers hydration to the deeper layers. As the name suggests (Cistus and Moonlight), the main ingredient is Cistus (there is cistus hydrosol and its essential oil), which is recommended for reducing signs of aging, it is pore minimizing, naturally antibacterial, anti-acne, and nurturing, yet non-drying and extremely mild. In the mist are also flower & gem essences. I find this very unique and I really love it! In the mist are included essences of rainbow moonstone, clear quartz and Pacific Northwest pink pholx, just to name a few. This mist is non-comedogenic and not only that it can be used as a face toner, it can also be used as an aura mist, for emotional and spiritual benefits. Mists can be the most understated products but you can literally use them all day long. Yes, they should be used after cleansing but you can also layer them between other steps of your skincare routine, and after you apply your makeup and simply throughout the day when you feel like it.
Earthwise Beauty Resiliency Face Serum December Boxwalla Beauty Box
Earthwise Beauty Resiliency Face Serum
Next skincare product to layer on the skin is a serum, preferably an aloe vera based serum. If you would like to treat hyperpigmentation, redness, inflammation, if you want to brighten, revive and deeply hydrate your skin, then my number one recommendation would be the stunning Nap in the Meadow Face Serum (review here). This is my absolute favourite serum Earthwise Beauty has to offer and is actually one of the best serums I’ve tried (and I tried quite a few). It’s cooling, anti-inflammatory, soothing, brightening and so hydrating. I highly recommend it for all skin types, from teen, oily, acne-prone to dry and dehydrated skin. Daily use truly transform the skin and tremendously helps with hyperpigmentation spots and dryness. Another cooling product, which is more firming, rejuvenating and quite hydrating is Resiliency Face Serum* (review here), which you would also apply right after toning your skin. Apply the serum all over your face and neck, and don’t forget about the delicate skin around your eyes. Resiliency serum is so lovely to use as an eye serum, either on its own or layered with an oil or balm.

After a hydrating serum, I always recommend applying an eye serum next. You would want to apply Passion Eye Serum first, so the other oils and butters you might put on next won’t block the beneficial oils in the serum which are specifically there to nourish the delicate & thin skin around the eyes. Deposit most of the product on the outside of your eyes and with your ring fingers tap it under and around your eyes. Be gentle and don’t tug on your skin (I should mention that this goes for the cleansing step too, especially when you’re removing mascara). This serum is quite lightweight so in the evening I would recommend applying another oil or balm on top - Ferns and Moss Face Serum would be a wonderful choice.

Facial oils. There are many different ways to go about facial oils but make sure that you always apply them on damp skin because water helps oil to penetrate more deeply. You can mix a drop or two of oil with the serum of your choice and be done with it. This is great if you have oily skin or if you’re just getting used to facial oils. I also heard that if you have (perioral) dermatitis you shouldn’t apply pure oils on your skin but rather mix them with a serum or moisturizer. What I really want to emphasize is to not be afraid of oils, even and especially if you have acne-prone skin. They are amazing at softening the skin, reducing scars, they help to balance out the skin and of course they also nourish & improve the elasticity. They are just so good and I urge you to hop on the facial oil train. If you have oily, acne-prone skin I recommend Ruby Face Oil (my review here), which is lightweight, rich in antioxidants and non-comedogenic ingredients. Ruby is my favourite oil from Earthwise Beauty (and I’m definitely not the only one who thinks that). It is just so beautiful! Another non-comedogenic oil is Ferns and Moss Face Serum but this one is more rejuvenating and moisturizing, but also healing and repairing. If dryness and sensitive skin are your top concerns, then Magical Babassu Face Oil sounds like the one for you.

For the daytime use I highly recommend mixing your oil of choice with the amazing Farizad’s Veil Sun Reflector* (review here). This powder sunscreen contains only a few ingredients, including coral-reef safe & non-nano uncoated zinc oxide. I have been using this sunscreen for a couple of years and I can’t get enough of it! I love that it’s so customizable, it’s anti-inflammatory, doesn’t clog my pores but it actually helps to heal acne and of course also protects the skin from UV rays. In my opinion, applying an oil mixed with Farizad’s Veil should be the last step in the daytime routine. If you have dry, mature skin you can also apply some balm under the sunscreen, just so you get both - lots of nourishment and protection from the UV rays. Or you can simply mix the sunscreen powder with your favourite balm, like I do sometimes in the winter. I’m slightly crazy when it comes to SPF but I believe it is one of the best things you can do for your skin, especially in terms of premature skin aging. Not to mention that wearing sunscreen prevents pigmentation and if you ever have one of those pesky post-acne red scarring then don’t shy away from sunscreen. Sun rays darken the already existing pigmentation and the deeper the pigment is, the tougher it is to treat and the pigmentation just lingers and lingers on your skin for that much longer. If you are struggling with this particular skin problem (hyperpigmentation) then I highly recommend using Nap in the Meadow Face Serum and Farizad’s Veil mixed with Ruby Face Oil. Also look into the Sungod Face Mask* (review here), it brightens, revives and strengthens the skin.
Earthwise Beauty Yasuni Face Balm. Featherlight, acne prone
Earthwise Beauty Yasuni Face Balm. Featherlight, acne prone
Last but most certainly not least are balms, which I’m all about in the colder months. Balms are usually always used as the last step in your skincare routine, usually in the evening but in the colder months they can also be used in the morning. Earthwise Beauty has three balms and I’ve tried two of them. Tigress (review here) was my first and I was obsessed with it last year, and I still love it today. It’s so unbelievably beautiful! It is lightweight and full of non-comedogenic ingredients that support acne-prone, oily skin but it also works very well on dry and normal skin. Tigress heals acne and can be used as an all-over the face balm or as a spot treatment because it reduces inflammation. Even more lightweight than Tigress is Yasuni* (review here), which really is featherlight and is perfect if you have sensitive skin because it doesn’t contain any essential oils. It’s rich in antioxidants and also contains ingredients with enzymatic properties. If your skin is very dry and/or dehydrated then perhaps one of these two balms won’t be enough for your skin. If that is the case then I urge you to use the very hydrating Nap in the Meadow serum underneath it and perhaps also one of their oils, either Ruby Face Oil or Ferns and Moss for more combination and Magical Babassu for very dry skin. Earthwise Beauty has another balm called Green Leaves Face Balm, which is more suitable for dry and mature skin. It definitely wouldn’t be the first choice for oily skin because it contains coconut oil which can can clog pores. No matter which one you use, know that it will lock in all the goodness you already applied on your skin and additionally help to soften and nourish the skin.
Earthwise Beauty Resiliency Face Serum and Yasuni Face Balm. December Boxwalla Beauty Box
Earthwise Beauty products
I know that I’ve bombarded you with a lot of information and even though it’s helpful and useful to layer products in a particular way, there are exception to the “rules”. I encourage you to listen and take a closer look at your skin. Some days you can do a full on routine & use all the products, and then other days you can use only a product or two, or even let the skin be as it is. I don’t want to complicate things even more but you can also experiment and use a serum over your oil and see how that works for you. If nothing else I would like for you to take one thing from my article - for healthy skin you need to properly wash it in the evening and apply a water or rather an aloe vera + oil based products. Skin needs both, hydration (water) and moisture (oil). So for example you can only use a mist and a oil, or a serum and an oil or balm, it all really depends on your skin type and its particular needs.

Don't miss out on these promotions:

Resiliency Face Serum and Yasuni Face Balm are featured in December Boxwalla Beauty Box*, which you can get here (my review here).

Use code "BlackFriday" to receive 20% off your order. The code will be valid from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. This offer is applicable for both Earthwise Beauty and Pacific Northwest Essences, though orders from both sites cannot be combined.

As always you can also use my personal code "Loveliness" for 15% off. This code is a one-time use only.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Have a lovely end of the week!

So much love to you all,

Jana xx

Weekly Favourites

november 18, 2018

Hope you're all doing really well and that you're enjoying your weekend. I'm coming at you today with weekly favourites since I'm really impressed with some of the products I just tried this week and thought it would be nice to share. Btw how is the weather like where you live? In the morning it lightly started to snow (luckily it stopped now) and I'm not impressed haha. I'm not a particular fan of snow and cold. Anyways, here are some beautiful products I want to bring to your attention.
KHUS + KHUS Rasa Restorative Potion, Flower and Spice Soothe and Repair Daily Moisturizer, Wabi-Sabi Botanicals Light Reveal Targeted Treatment Serum
Flower and Spice Soothe and Repair Daily Moisturizer Rose and Coriander
Flower and Spice Soothe and Repair Daily Moisturizer Rose and Coriander
Flower and Spice Soothe and Repair Daily Moisturizer*. You guys, this moisturizer is so amazing! I wrote about Flower and Spice before (see here) and I also mentioned this product here as well, but just to say it again - this beautiful skincare line was founded by a fellow Slovenian Karmen Novak, who now lives in the Netherlands. I have had a pleasure of trying out all of her three products and they are so SO nice. I think it was about two weeks ago when I started noticing my skin was looking all dull and patchy. I decided to revisit the Soothe and Repair Moisturizer which I previously used as a nighttime cream and omg this cream transformed my skin! This absolutely stunning moisturizer took care of my dry patches immediately and ever since then I've been using it every single day. This cream is formulated with Swiss Mountain Spring Water, Rose Water, oils of Apricot, Prickly Pear, Shea Butter, Oat Extract, Aloe Vera and more. It has this super lush and extremely creamy consistency which cocoons my skin and is so lovely to use. It beautifully sinks into the skin and deeply hydrates and nourishes it and it doesn't clog my pores which is an absolute dream. It actually has a perfect name because I do find it soothing and repairing.  I'm really blown away with this moisturizer and I highly recommend it, especially for this time of year. You can get Flower and Spice Soothe and Repair Daily Moisturizer here.
Wabi-Sabi Botanicals Light Reveal Targeted Treatment Serum Indie Beauty Spotlight Discovery by Beauty Heroes
Wabi-Sabi Botanicals Light Reveal Targeted Treatment Serum*. I have used many oils in the past and upon first application of this serum I was like omg I love you already! Well to be honest I was (and still am) feeling this way for the entire Wabi-Sabi Botanicals Indie Beauty Discovery* by Beauty Heroes, which features two more of their products: The Offering Ageless Ritual Facial Mist and Valley of Light Illuminative Mask. They are all so gorgeous! Light Reveal is this cute little oil (10 ml) which you use as a treatment oil, meaning that you mix it with your favourite facial oil or balm or cream. In the morning I have been using it with Maya Chia Supercritical Omega-3 Chia Face Oil* (from Level Up Discovery with Sarah* by Beauty Heroes) and in the evening with my favourite oil ever, the African Botanics Fleurs d'Afrique from the August Boxwalla Beauty Box* (review here). But the first time I used a drop of Light Reveal on its own so that I could get the feeling what kind of an oil it is. I was so surprised!

First of all I had a bit of a hard time getting it out of the pump. This was due to the shipping and cold temperatures but also the oil itself is very thick, almost like a small amount of butter would be in it. I mean the pump works perfectly now, it was just that first time due to the cold. The oil has a thicker consistency but it is extremely lightweight, like really featherlight. It contains only a few ingredients: Andiroba Oil, Guarana infusion (Guarana is the highest known natural source of caffeine in the world), Pequi Fruit, Buriti and Sea Buckthorn Oils. It has the most gorgeous vibrant orange colour, which you can actually kinda see through the white glass packaging. Or is that just me? The colour is amazing! And what else is amazing? The scent! It is intoxicating. Sweet and fruity. The scent is making me want to eat this oil haha. Light Reveal doesn't contain any essential oils, the scent comes from aromatic Pequi Fruit Oil sourced in the Brazilian Savanna. The serum promises to reverse free radical damage (the #1 cause of hyper-pigmentation) and give your skin a luminous glow. I will never say no to a product that will brighten and lighten my skin. This oil is a beautiful addition to my current skincare routine and even though it's too soon to talk about a massive difference in my skin, I have very high hopes for it, especially after using their Age Gracefully* serum from the September Art of Organics Clean Beauty Box* (review here). Elysse, the founder of Wabi-Sabi Botanicals truly knowns what she is doing (and is also the cutest!). You can either get Light Reveal Targeted Treatment Serum Serum here or you can find it in one of the newest limited edition discoveries by Beauty Heroes (see here).
KHUS + KHUS Rasa Restorative Potion. Reishi, chaga, cbd, cardamom, sandalwood, hemp, prickly pear body butter. Soft skin
KHUS + KHUS Rasa Restorative Potion. Reishi, chaga, cbd, cardamom, sandalwood, hemp, prickly pear body butter. Soft skin
KHUS + KHUS Rasa Restorative Potion*. I fell in love with KHUS + KHUS when they were featured in a Beauty Heroes box (I talked about their Bleu Body Wax here and Sans Age Face Serum here) and you better believe I was excited to try their new product Rasa Restorative Potion. In its essence this is a body butter but is SO much more than just a body butter. Rasa is formulated with ingredients that you just don't find in many products and that is what makes this product unique. The formula combines the immense power of adaptogenic herbs as well as well known Ayurvedic and Western nervine herbs to produce an overall balancing effect on the nervous system. There are Hemp Seed, Prickly Pear and Arnica Butters, Reishi and Chaga Mushrooms (did you know that we share half of our DNA with mushrooms?), California Poppy and CBD. I don't think I ever mentioned it but I love taking CBD oil (I have one from HempTouch*) for my back or hip pain (I have scoliosis so sadly it's quite normal for me to experience some daily aches) and CBD oil really helps with reducing pain (stretching and yoga too). I know that many love to take CBD oil to help with their sleep or anxiety and there is just loads of benefits of taking CBD oil. But back to Rasa. This super luxurious body butter has a really yummy scent of Cardamom, Yuzu and Sandalwood - it's a warming scent that you just want to apply all over your body asap. The consistency is amazing, very luscious and buttery and creamy, it's so good! And the best thing? It makes my skin so soft that I can't even express it! Lots of body products make my skin soft but Rasa is on a whole nother level. If you want the softest skin ever then Rasa is the way to go. As far as I can tell Rasa Restorative Potion isn't available at KHUS + KHUS' website (see here) but you can get it via Credo Beauty here.

Since I'm already talking about favourites, last week I started re-reading Harry Potter's books again and I love them so much still. Well actually this time is the first time I'm listening to the books and it's going great! I'm listening to the version read by Stephen Fry and I love it. I'm on the fourth book already and I'm obsessed. I haven't been listening to any of my usual podcasts, just the books. And I'm always looking for new things to clean or something to do haha just so I have an excuse to listen. Another thing from the popular culture I've been into this weekend is the new season of Narcos. Just watch it okay, it's very good!

Okay that's all from me today. What are some of your favourites from this week? As always if you have any questions let me know.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Much love to you all,

Jana xx

Vegan Cooking #8

november 16, 2018

I haven’t done a “Vegan Cooking” post in too long and initially I wanted to post this on my Instagram but decided I should do a quick post here instead. Sadly I only have photos of the end result (from two different times) and they don't do the dish justice but since it’s very good I’m posting the recipe anyways. So today’s dish is going to be my take on lentil “bolognese”. I used lentil pasta so this recipe is vegan and gluten free. It’s full of protein and very delicious.
Vegan Cooking Red Lentil Pasta with Red Lentil Sauce. Gluten free
Vegan Cooking Red Lentil Pasta with Red Lentil Sauce. Gluten free
Lentil Pasta with Red Lentil Sauce

As always I don’t have specific measurements (sorry!) but you will need:
- red lentils (I used around 4 tablespoons for one person (soak them in water overnight or for at least a few hours),
- half an onion,
- 1-2 garlic,
- leeks,
- tomato sauce and/or fresh tomatoes,
- salt and black pepper to taste,
- a pinch of cumin, oregano, basil, turmeric, cayenne pepper, paprika.

How to:

1. Soak your lentils overnight or for at least a few hours. Then rinse them with water and leave them to the side.

2. Sauté onion, leeks and garlic.

3. Add lentils, water and tomato sauce. Lentils should be covered in liquid so that they can cook evenly, but don't overdo it. You can always add more liquid. I add more water and less tomato juice. Cook for about 15 minutes on low to medium heat.

4. Add seasonings and spices. Cook for about 5-10 minutes more, depends on the lentils. If you have too much liquid, remove the lid and amp up the heat. Taste and adjust.

5. While you’re waiting for the sauce to cook, boil water for pasta and cook by following instructions on the packaging.

5. Mix together and enjoy.

Let me know if you try this recipe & I hope you enjoyed it!

Much love,

Jana xx

Face Mists are So Beautiful

november 13, 2018

Hello lovelies! Hope you are having a great start of the new week. I have a question for you - do you love toners and facial mists? For the longest time I didn't really appreciate them in all their glory and always thought about them as an almost unnecessary product in my skincare routine. But now all is changed. I love facial mists so much and I can't get enough of them. I think I know why is that. I used to use toners, like proper toners which in my mind are those products that you have to apply with a cotton pad (I would recommend using washable organic cotton pads, cause you know environment). The ones I used were full of alcohol and conventional ingredients, and they just didn't do anything good for my skin or they even dried it out and irritated it. I then started using facial mists which in my opinion are products that come in spray bottles which you just simply mist on your face. Facial mists can either be flower hydrosols, like rose water hydrosol, which I used to use religiously but to be honest they don't really do much for my skin other than refresh it, or mists that contain different flower hydrosols, plant extracts, aloe vera, glycerin and such. The later are my absolute favourites and those are the mists I deeply fell in love with. Well I still love a good rose water hydrosol to set my makeup or refresh my face throughout the day. So without further ado, here are the face mists I currently have.
Organic natural face mists toners. Amly Botanicals, Sias Seas, Leahlani, Lilfox, Alteya Organics, Earthwise Beauty
Earthwise Beauty Cistus and Moonlight Face Mist
Earthwise Beauty Cistus & Moonlight Face Mist* is described as pore-minimizing and hydrating toner for all skin types. A very special mist which I've really been drawn to it ever since its slight reformulation and EWB's rebranding. This isn't just your plain face mist but a very unique and beautiful mist - as is their sourcing of the main ingredient Cistus hydrosol. They tracked down an artisan distiller of wild cistus in Portugal whose samples were special. The hydrosol is floral, sweet, rich and full, honey-like, and somewhat resinous in a good way; clearly made with love and care. Cistus continuously receives more love & care when it arrives at the EWB's headquarters, because after they receive a new shipment of what they like to call "Portuguese beauty water", they wait for the next full moon to infuse it under the moon overnight. Oh so beautiful. Why Cistus hydrosol? Because it has many skin benefits: it is recommended for reducing signs of aging, from wrinkles to lack of skin firmness, and is pore minimizing, naturally antibacterial (also anti-viral and anti-fungal), anti-acne, and nurturing, yet non-drying and extremely mild. There's also Aloe Vera Juice and the mist is also enriched with a few gorgeous flower and gem essences, including Rainbow Moonstone, Clear Quartz, Pacific Northwest Pink Phlox. Vegan and handcrafted. I'm in love. This face mist smells like Cistus and this for me is a scent that I had to use a couple of times to get used to it but now I really like how grounded it makes me feel. It's hydrating, non-comedogenic and does help to slightly minimize pores. It's so nice and I can't get enough of it. You can get Cistus and Moonlight Face Mist here (code "Loveliness" saves you 15% - one time use only).
Amly Botanicals Beauty Sleep and Digital Detox Silver Rich Face Mists
Amly Botanicals Digital Detox Silver Rich Face Mist* is my newest face mist and I'm obsessed with it to the point I almost used it up completely. I just talked about it in my previous post (see here). Digital Detox is a detoxifying face mist that combats the effects of environmental and digital pollution. Its name says it all - it is indispensable for urban commutes, air travel and when using computers and mobile devices. No wonder I almost used it up completely since I'm spending too much time at my computer and on my phone and so I reach for this mist quite often, not only in the morning and evening but also throughout the day. This mist has a long list of ingredients, which is very typical for Amly Botanicals products, especially their stunning face mists. There is Aloe Vera, Himalayan Pink Salt, Frankincense + Marine Actives, Neroli, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Roman Chamomile, Cedarwood. It has a very unique scent and like I said in my previous post, I can smell Ylang Ylang in the bottle but once I mist it over my face I don't. The scent is as special as is the mist itself. This is only a 30 ml bottle but now I want a full bottle! I got this beauty in the November Art of Organics Clean Beauty Box*, which you can still get here or you can also get the digital Detox straight from Amly Botanicals' website here.

Amly Botanicals Beauty Sleep Silver Rich Face Mist*. Since we're already talking about the British skincare line Amly, Beauty Sleep is another one of their precious face mists. I'm almost out of this one too and I just can't bring myself to use it up cause it's so lovely! I got it in the February Boxwalla Beauty Box* (read my review here) and I've been loving and savouring it ever since the end of winter. Beauty Sleep is a restorative face mist that was designed especially for use at night to support natural healing sleep. Beauty Sleep has a beautiful array of ingredients, including floral waters of Neroli, Lavender, Geranium, Valerian Root, and more that will soothe and repair the skin. The star ingredient is Snow Algae that grows on glaciers and snow. Studies have shown that the extract of Snow Algae when applied to living cells, extends their longevity & revitalize skin by boosting both the expression of a longevity gene (Klotho) as well as the cellular energy enzyme AMPK. It also strengthens the skin barrier & preserves collagen. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? It smells of Ylang Ylang and Cistus, and it's funny how in my review I said that I prefer this scent to the EWB Cistus and Moonlight Face Mist* (see here). After EWB's reformulation I'm completely fine, well more than fine with EWB's face mist so I'm not gonna do any comparison. I will only say that Amly's mist doesn't have such a strong scent of cistus because it contains a bunch of other ingredients as well, whereas EWB's only contains Cistus hydrosol. Anyways, I really love both. You can get Amly Botanicals Beauty Sleep Silver Rich Face Mist here. Btw their Radiance Boost Silver Rich Face Mist is amazing too (review here) & you can get it here.
Siam Seas YEN Heal and Hydrate Toner
Siam Seas Yen Heal and Hydrate Toner* is a mist I received in the March Beauty Discovery by Beauty Heroes (see my review here). This is hardly a toner or a mist, these two words don't make this product justice - it's a serum, an essence actually, packed in bottle with a spray mister. #TonerNotToner is perfect to describe this amazing product. Like all other mists I've mentioned so far, Yen also contains the soothing and hydrating Aloe Vera, and there are also 27 botanical extracts in this toner (many of them native to Asia). There are hydrosols of Cucumber, Geranium, Lavender and Chamomile and light oils of Raspberry, Cucumber Seed, Prickly Pear and Sacha Inchi. There are also some very interesting ingredients like Tamarind Extract, Terminalia Chebula, Kacip Fatimah. This toner is really something else and even though it has a spray nozzle it's best to apply by misting it in your hand and then tap it on your face. Settling may occur and the mist doesn't dispense the toner evenly so do yourself a favour and mist it in the palm of your hand rather than directly on your face. I use this serum toner when my skin needs hydration because it really beautifully hydrates my skin. Yen is also healing and it just really is an incredible product. More than perfect for this time of year. Love. You can get Siam Seas Yen Heal & Hydrate Toner here (Beauty Heroes members have 15% discount).
Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator Moisturizing Facial Mist
Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator* was one of the sidekicks in the September Beauty Discovery by Beauty Heroes (read my review here). This is my second bottle of it and the first time I liked it but now I really love it. Josh's products are well known & loved and I get why. This facial mist contains vitamin infused Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, a few oils like Jojoba, Marula, Hemp Seed, Almond, and other potent ingredients such as Ashwaganda, Turmeric, Calendula, Dandelion, Chamomile. It has a beautiful scent of Ylang Ylang and has the best spray mister with the finest mist. It's hydrating, radiance boosting and just oh so lovely. This smaller plastic bottle is more than perfect for travel but me being me I have to say that I would prefer glass packaging. Nonethelessit's a truly lovely products. You can get Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator here (Beauty Heroes member have a 15% discount).
Leahlani Citrus + Citrine Regenerating Toning Mist and Hannes Dottir Mineral Mist
Leahlani Citrus + Citrine Regenerating Toning Mist is your girl for a glowing, revitalized, and radiant complexion. This Aloe Vera based mist contains flower waters of Blood Orange, Neroli, Calendula, there's Witch Hazel and Turmeric, and each bottle also houses little Citrine gemstones, that were purified in the Hawaiian sea and sun. Citrine emits a strong vibration of joy, prosperity, energy, and abundance. It's one of my favourite crystals. The mist is hydrating, energizing, has a lovely scent and is simply beautiful, like every other product created by Leah. Get Citrus + Citrine Regenerating Toning Mist here. In Europe available at a few shops, I got mine at Reina Organics here.

Hannes Dóttir Mineral Mist* was in the June Art of Organics Clean Beauty Box (read my review here). I have to say that I really like this mist more than I imagined I would. I didn't really know the brand before it was featured in this AO box and honestly I wasn't really expecting much. Described as supremely calming, a multi-vitamin Icelandic Mineral Mist that tones your skin while infusing the complexion with vital nutrients, this mist is formulated with unique ingredients to balance moisture, calm redness and promote a healthy, luminescent glow. The ingredients are a bit different to the other mists I've mentioned - there are Glycerin, Silica, Choline, Iodine. I'm not really used to ingredients like this, mists usually contain different hydrosols and plant extracts. It's scented with Spearmint Oil and is therefore really refreshing. Like Yen from Siam Seas this one also doesn't work well as a makeup setting spray but is very lovely to apply in the morning to refresh the skin. You can get Hannes Dóttir Mineral Mist here.
Alteya Organics Pure Bulgarian Rose Water and LILFOX Mr. Fox Sandalo Sandalwood Toning Mist
LILFOX Sandalo Sandalwood Toning Mist* is from the first ever Men Discovery Mr. Fox from Beauty Heroes (see my review here) and yes, I kinda stole this product from Jaka. I recently mentioned this mist in a post dedicated to a skincare routine using mainly LILFOX products (see here). This mist contains four ingredients, including sustainably harvested Sandalwood infused with smoky quartz, and Lactic Acid, which gently exfoliates the skin. I would say it has a very manly scent, it's earthy and aromatic. Even though I prefer light floral scent I have to say I'm really enjoying this mist. The one thing I have noticed with this mist that I found very interesting is that it doesn't vibe well with Earthwise Beauty's Resiliency Face Serum* (which you can get in the December Boxwalla Beauty Box*). I'm not sure what it is but the combination of both make my skin flushed and red. Each on its own doesn't give me problems but together the simply don't work. If you have both do try the combination, I'm curious if you will get the same reaction. You can get LILFOX Sandalo Toning Mist here (Beauty Heroes members save 15%).

Alteya Organics 100% Pure Bulgarian Rose Water* is the only mist I have that contains only one ingredient - distilled Rose Water, made from fresh, organic Rosa Damascena blossoms - one of the most valuable and fragrant oil-bearing roses. As this is one Rose Water, without any humectants like aloe vera or glycerin, which helps to attract water to the surface of the skin, and also delivers hydration to the deeper layers, I don't use it as my first layering step in my skincare routine (before serums and oils). I use it as my makeup setting spray and it works absolutely beautiful like that. I believe that applying a face mist after you apply your makeup is quite crucial and I can't imagine not doing it! A mist blends all the powders and creams together with the skin and just makes look everything better + it helps makeup to last longer. Definitely try it if you haven't already. You can get Alteya Organics 100% Pure Bulgarian Rose Water here.

I really do enjoy facial mists so much and you know to be quite honest with you, I just got three new mists today! Very excited about that. :)

Love & light to you all,

Jana xx

Detox + Protect with Art of Organics & Amly Botanicals

november 08, 2018

Amly Botanicals is a brand I've already talked about on my blog and today I'm happy to share with you that this UK brand is featured in the November Art of Organics Clean Beauty Box*. Thus far I have tried two of their Silver Rich Face Mists - the Radiance Boost* (review) and Beauty Sleep* (review), both thanks to Boxwalla. I wrote a little bit about the brand itself (see here) but let me mention that this British line is steeped in tradition while welcoming innovation backed by scientific research. Their formulas employ centuries-old, traditional methods to extract essential oils and hydrolates from plants and flowers combined with advanced bio-actives. Amly is the Old English name of their organic wildflower meadow in East Sussex; the source of the mineral-rich water found in their range of face mists. These were the first products they created and they are honestly so unbelievably beautiful. If I'm not mistaken it was a few months ago that they launched their new products, and one of them is being featured in this month's Art of Organics box.

In the November Art of Organics Clean Beauty Box* are two Amly Botanicals products: City Screen Protective Face Serum and Digital Detox Silver Rich Face Mist. Check it out here.

November 2018 Art of Organics Clean Beauty Box Amly Botanicals City Screen Protective Face Serum and Digital Detox Silver Rich Face Mist
Because I have already tried Amly's face mists let me start with the Digital Detox Silver Rich Face Mist. This is a detoxifying face mist that combats the effects of environmental and digital pollution. Its name says it all - it is indispensable for urban commutes, air travel and when using computers and mobile devices. Amm yeah, perfect for me then! Amly is known for their long ingredient lists so let me just mention a few ingredients: Aloe Vera, Himalayan Pink Salt (detoxifies skin and purifies air), Frankincense + Marine Actives (aid concentration), Neroli, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Roman Chamomile, Cedarwood. I don't really remember how does the Radiance Boost Mist smell but when I spray Digital Detox on my face it reminds me of it. If I unscrew the top and smell it in the bottle I detect Ylang Ylang but I don't notice it when I mist it over my face. But it is so much more than just a "simple" Ylang Ylang-scented product. The blend of all essential oils is special and unique and I can't really describe it in all its complexity. First impressions are very good but I'm very partial to Amly's mists. They are just so beautiful! Check out Amly Digital Detox Silver Rich Face Mist here.

City Screen Protective Face Serum is the serum to use if you live in a city and wish to combat urban grim and pollution. Serum is packed with powerful antioxidants, collagen-boosting compounds and hydrating botanicals. The champion active ingredient is Echinacea which prolongs the youth of skin cells and heightens the skin's resilience to environmental pollution, detoxifying, balancing and strengthening as it goes. It has some of the same ingredients as the mist and since I've already mentioned Echinacea, let me share with you that its extract "boosts hyaluronic acid levels, promotes a plumped, youthful appearance and speeds skin repair after UVB damage. Research shows improvement in skin's defense after just 48 hours." That is something, isn't it?? In the serum are also Beetroot, Gotu Kola, Green Tea, Nettle, White Willow. This white-coloured serum has pretty much the same scent as the Digital Detox mist. It's lightweight and immediately sinks into the skin. I haven't used it for long but it feels very lovely on the skin and I haven't experienced any irritation or breakouts. It is suitable for all skin types, including blemish prone. You can get Amly Botanicals City Screen Protective Face Serum here.

I was really happy to see Amly Botanicals in this Art of Organics box because it's such a gorgeous brand. I have a very soft spot for brands made in UK - there are so many good ones, Amly Botanicals included! As long as you're not allergic to flowers and essential oils, then I think you will really like this box.

The November Art of Organics box is valued at $128, get it for $41.95. Just a heads up - Art of Organics increased their box price for two dollars. As this is a subscription box you have to join for at least two months. You can subscribe here.

Forest Bathing with Boxwalla & Earthwise Beauty

november 06, 2018

Hello lovelies! How you doing? I'm most excited to share with you the gorgeous December Boxwalla Beauty Box* with you! Why, you ask me? Well because it features one my absolute favourite brand, the stunning Earthwise Beauty. The love is so real! This box speaks to me in so many ways, not only with the products but also with the theme - 'Forest Bathing'. Y'all know I love walks in forests - it's one of my favourite things to do. I did mention forest bathing or 'Shinrin Yoku' before, this is the therapeutic Japanese practice of taking in the atmosphere of a living forest. There are so many benefits of this, from improving your mood, reducing stress, improving sleep to boosting immune system and reducing blood pressure. It's amazing and I highly recommend that you simply just go into a forest and enjoy your surroundings. As is written on the card that comes in this Boxwalla box, Earthwise Beauty's products feel like that, like diving into lush living forests, and that is very true. I just love that Boxwalla collaborated with Earthwise Beauty again and for those of you who missed their first colab, now is your second chance. The value of the box is incredible and you definitely won't be able to get the two EWB's products at this price any time soon.

In the December Boxwalla Beauty Box* are two full sized products from Earthwise Beauty: Resiliency Face Serum and Yasuni Face Balm. Check it out here.

Resiliency Face Serum is the serum that was previously known as a Carrot-A-Day serum. I have used that one and wrote a review of it here, and I was also very kindly gifted it after EWB's rebranding. Btw I love their new packaging, it's so luxe and all grown-up. I've been using the new Resiliency serum for the last few weeks so I can thankfully give you more than just my first impression, like it's often the case with subscription beauty boxes. Resiliency is an Aloe Vera based serum that contains high amounts of Carrot Seed Essential Oil, which is rich in beta carotenes & very effective at regenerating skin tissue, with both sun damage preventing and corrective properties. In addition, this serum contains anti-inflammatory German Blue Chamomile and two types of Helichrysum. There's also Spearmint Oil, which I can detect in the scent. Serum has a thicker gel-like, jiggly texture. A fellow blogger mentioned that she thinks Carbomer helps to make it like that and we agreed that we wouldn't mind if it was without it and therefore had a more thin consistency. It beautifully sinks into the skin and gives an instant hydrated look to the skin. As I've said, I've been using it for the last few weeks, only in the morning. In the evening I'm using the product from the October Boxwalla Beauty Box*, the African Botanics Resurrection Cell Recovery Serum. You can easily use Resiliency day and night, but I especially love it in the mornings because it feels so cooling. If you can, I highly recommend storing it in the fridge, not only because it will stay fresher longer but because it just feels so good when you apply it on slightly puffy skin in the morning. I love applying it all over my face and neck, around my eyes too. I found that it layers beautifully over EWB's Cistus and Moonlight Face Mist*, which is btw so nice! But for example it doesn't jive with LILFOX' Sandalo Toning Mist*. Not sure why the two don't work together but my skin always turns bright red for a few minutes after I apply them. I'm telling you this just so you're aware that it can happen and maybe you just need to change up a toner or some other product. Or simply wait a few minutes for the redness to subside. Resiliency is very interesting because it is very potent but then at the same time it also feels cooling and refreshing. But do patch test if you have sensitive skin. This face serum is suitable for all skin types, especially mature, wrinkled, acne, combination, and lacking firmness. Based on my experience after a few weeks of regular use I can describe this serum as depuffing, cooling, it helps to plump up the skin & reduce acne. Nap in the Meadow is still my fave (EWB) serum because it's more soothing and more suited for my skin but Resiliency is also very lovely and I'm so happy to have a new jar patiently waiting for me (in the fridge of course). You can get Resiliency Face Serum here.
Earthwise Beauty Yasuni Face Balm December Boxwalla Beauty Box
Yasuni Face Balm. Oh Yasuni. Think about face balms for a minute. About their textures, feel on the skin, their ingredients. Now toss these thoughts to the side and meet the most unique face balm ever! Yasuni Face Balm is indeed a balm but it is just so special and mind-blowingly amazing. I've already proclaimed my love to it on my Instagram (see here) and to say I was excited to see it in this box is a complete understatement. Yasuni is described as a "featherlight balm for sensitive skin", and was named after a rainforest in Ecuador, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet that is now being threatened by oil drilling. Breaks my heart.. Yasuni balm contains responsibly sourced ingredients from the Amazon rainforest, ingredients that work similarly to a retinol on the skin, exfoliating and resurfacing it, but with none of the irritation, redness, or peeling often caused by actual retinol products. There are unrefined, cold-pressed Cupuaçu, Kokum, Bacuri and Tucuma Seed Butters. Oh you haven't heard of these butters? Don't worry, most are a mystery to me as well. After a quick google search let me mention Kokum, which is a plant in the mangosteen family and I do know Mangosteen. Kokum tree is actually also known as the wild mangosteen or red mangosteen tree. I do like mangosteen in my skincare so no wonder I like Yasuni. Kokum butter helps to minimize pores, speed healing of acne breakouts, and promote skin firmness. In this balm are also some very beautiful oils, like Acai, Cranberry, Raspberry, Green Coffee, Marula and Buriti. The ingredient list is so gorgeous! There are NO essential oils in this product (but the product does have an earthy scent) and that was Ava's intentional decision so that Yasuni can be used by everyone, even those with sensitive skin. It is also an ideal balm for healing acne and reducing blackheads and oil production. You know what I love about this balm? That it doesn't contain any waxes, so no beeswax or candelilla. Just butters and oils. Yasuni has this hard, solid texture that is unlike to any other balm I've tried before. It's completely solidified and to get it out I need to scrape it with the back of my nail (but I recommend you use a spatula). Well the consistency can differ slightly on the room temperature but it's definitely not soft, buttery and fluffy like some balms are. I warm the balm between my fingers and apply to my skin. The balm is very lightweight and the word featherlight perfectly describes it. You really can't feel it on your skin! It doesn't absorb quickly into the skin, especially if you use a lot so the skin is glowy but the balm truly doesn't feel heavy or that it's just sitting on your skin. Do you believe me when I say it's so bloody beautiful?! I have been using Yasuni on and off for a few weeks but I'm committed to use it every single night for the upcoming weeks so I will update you on how it goes (probably on Instagram) but thus far I can say that it helps to even out my tone, my skin is less red and it also helps to reduce blackheads. It's moisturizing but I can see it not being enough if you have dry skin. I would recommend using a hydrating serum and an oil under it. I do love to use a drop of Fleurs d'Afrique by African Botanics (review here) from the August Boxwalla Beauty Box* and Yasuni on top - it's a dreamy combination! And yes, Resurrection Recovery Cell Serum also layers really well with this balm. You can get Yasuni Face Balm here.

November Beauty Discovery: 100% Organic with Inlight Beauty

november 01, 2018

New month, new beauty boxes. I want to introduce you to the November Beauty Discovery* by Beauty Heroes with a UK brand Inlight Beauty. Founded by Dr. Mariano Spiezia and his wife Loredana, Inlight Beauty is rooted in knowledge, guided by alchemy and inspired by nature. Dr. Spiezia is a doctor of medicine trained in herbalism, homeopathy and clinical phytotherapy and has spent more than 30 years of his career experimenting with a myriad of plant combinations that reveal our skin's innate healing capabilities and optimal vitality. Inlight is a brand with 100% organic formulations (which means that every single ingredient is certified organic) and Inlight was actually the first product line to become 100% Cosmos certified by the Soil Association. It is cruelty free (like everything I share on my blog) but it's not vegan due to Beeswax. Inlight was a brand that I first discovered absolute ages ago, like ten years ago but I have never tried their products until now. This line was stocked in a natural shop OrCa and it was still in their old, blue packaging but at that time their products were too expensive for me and because of that I kinda forgot about them for a little while. I always loved the sound of their products so you better believe when I say that I was very excited to learn Inlight's products were going to be featured in a Beauty Heroes box.

November Beauty Discovery* by Beauty Heroes features two full sized products from Inlight Beauty: Line Softener Intensive and Super-Food Mask. Check out this discovery here.

Beauty Discovery Beauty Heroes November 2018 Inlight Beauty Line Softener Intensive consistency
As usual, let's start my introduction to this discovery with the November's Hero product, the Line Softener Intensive. This product is described as a "sumptuous anti-ageing balm to stimulate collagen production and soften facial lines." It contains oils of Jojoba, Macadamia, Olive, Argan, Evening Primrose, Coconut. There is Beeswax, Carrot Root, Calendula, Horsetail and more. The heart of all Inlight products is their signature and patented Bio-lipophilic Matrix®, an empowered blend of botanical oils fusing ancient alchemy and modern science, enhancing the vitality of every ingredient. It has a delicate floral scent of Geranium and Patchouli, a beautiful scent which I enjoy very much. Line Softener has that soft and buttery smooth consistency that many facial balms have. It's so yummy. It instantly! transforms into an oil and creates a truly beautiful experience on the skin. Balms are typically used as the last step in the skincare routine since they are the heaviest (you should apply your products from lightest like toners and water based serums to heaviest like oils and balms, to seal everything in). I have used it all over my face but this balm is designed to use it more as a spot treatment around your eyes and neck to improve elasticity and decrease the surface, length and depth of fine lines and wrinkles. This year I've noticed a more visible difference in my skin in terms of fine lines (I guess this is what 30s are all about) so I'm applying this balm on my forehead, between my brows, around my eyes and on my neck. Line Softener is clinically tested to soften and reduce the appearance of fine lines but it takes a few weeks of daily use for the results to show. We will see how it goes. If nothing else the balm softens and nourishes my skin and I really adore the complete organic ingredient list. You can't go better than this. I didn't notice any clogged pores (because of the Coconut Oil and Shea Butter which can sometimes clog my pores) but if you're very prone to congestion with either of these ingredients then know you've been warned. But then also know that it's recommend to use mainly around the eyes and neck and don't forget that a little goes a very long way with balms. Mature and dry skin will absolutely love this balm and my combination skin is also very pleased with it! Line Softener Intensive is a gorgeous product and I completely understand why Jeannie & the Beauty Heroes team decided on featuring it as the November Hero product. You can get the Line Softener Intensive here.

Beauty Discovery Beauty Heroes November 2018 Inlight Beauty Super-Food Mask consistency
The Sidekick product is Inlight's Super-Food Mask, "a naturally exfoliating, chlorophyll-rich mask to rejuvenate skin of all ages." This mask is suitable for all skin types - it is ideal for skin in need of a radiant lift and a little extra love. This refreshing and nourishing botanical mask has a unique consistency for a mask - it is very balmy + it contains a minimal amout of grainy particles (which very gently exfoliate the skin). It is formulated with potent plant concentrates, including oils of Sesame, Coconut (minimal amount), Jojoba. Like Line Softener it also contains Beeswax, but also Potato & Corn Starches, Barley, Baobab, Spirulina. The mask has a rather strong scent of Frankincense, and rich, dark green colour courtesy of Spirulina Extract. Ingredients rich in chlorophyll, like Barley and Spirulina, promote healthy cell turnover and collagen production while protecting the skin against environmental stressors. I used this mask a couple of times so I haven't made up my mind about it completely but thus far I believe it is what it promises to be: nourishing, gently exfoliating, glow inducing. With regular use (once or twice a week) it should improve firmness and hydration. Based on my initial impression and the fact that it contains an array of ingredients packed with antioxidants and vitamins & is also so nourshing, I think that sounds very plausible. I have to mention that because this mask has a consistency of a balm, you won't be able to rinse it off with water. I remove it with a warm washcloth - the mask can stain it so don't use your favourite washcloth. Oh and I leave the mask on for either 15 to 30 minutes. Since it doesn't contain any clays and becuase it doesn't dry up on the skin, I feel you can easily leave in on your skin for longer. You can get Inlight's Super-Food Mask here.

Speaking of masks, I also have their Chocolate Mask*, which I have yet to try out but know that the scent of this mask is AMAZING! It has an irresistible chocolate and orange fragrance and I just want to eat it!! Check out their Chocolate Mask here.
Beauty Discovery Beauty Heroes November 2018 Inlight Beauty
Before I finish this post let me mention another Inligh product, their Face Cleanser* (see my Instagram post here). It. Is. So. Beautiful. It's like buttah! It removes my makeup, it feels so dreamy and soft, it has a delicate foresty scent of Cypress and I just adore it. You can get Inlight's Face Cleanser here.

So, what do you think about this Beauty Discovery? Are you a fan of Inlight products? I'm very impressed with them, with their performance, textures, scents and the packaging is also very beautiful and luxurious. There is so much thought put into their formulation but also their packaging. Personally I adore all the details and if you look closely, each Inlight product has a unique symbol - each product is represented by an alchemic symbol. As is well known, all matter is surrounded by its own vibrational energy, so every Inlight alchemic symbol is the visual expression of the product’s unique, vibrational “dance”. Even though in my mind I don't care for their paper boxes (packaging waste is always on my mind), my heart loves the story behind their creations. They have worked closely with a local, Cornish artist (I wish they would mention their name) to develop a stunning watercolour that represents the light and beauty within Inlight. Inlight’s core blue/grey watercolour is the colour of abundance, wisdom and confidence, it’s the colour of the sky and the sea. The colour pink in their Face Collection is associated with giving and receiving care, compassion and love. They have chosen to overlay pink and yellow (Body Collection) on the darker blue colour to remind ourselves that there is always a brighter and lighter alternative in every one of life’s choices.

Can you tell I like Inlight Beauty?

You can get the November Beauty Discovery featuring the two Inlight Beauty products here. The box is valued at $187, get it for $42.95. More information here.

Wishing you a beautiful November!

With so much love,

Jana xx
