Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pots in Harmony & Happy (with swatches)

september 19, 2018

Ever since I started working with Love Lula, I have tried a few Ere Perez products. So far I've been most impressed with their Rice Powder Bronzer in Tulum* (read my review here) and I think I now love it even more than I did when I wrote my review. A few weeks ago I was very interested in getting myself a new blush from this Australian brand. I took to it to the wonderful Love Lula Natural Beauty Facebook Group and the lovely ladies on there very kindly recommended I should try Ere Perez's Carrot Colour Pots. I did and I was so blown away with my first "pink pot" that I got myself another shade. Spoiler alert: I love that one too!

Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot in Happy and Harmony swatches. Love LulaEre Perez Carrot Colour Pots are described as "natural balms". They feature "many healthy ingredients like Carrots, full of antioxidants, considered helpful in keeping skin soft and hydrated." There is also Olive and Avocado Oils, and a few more ingredients. These babies are vegan, so there is no Carmine (or beeswax, or any other animal derived ingredient). They are creamy but not overly creamy and to the point where they look super shiny, even greasy on the skin. I wouldn't say they turn into powder on the cheeks but on me they look/feel somewhere between a cream and powder blush. They are extremely pigmented and know that a little goes a very long way, especially when it comes to darker shades. They are truly very rich in colour but what is amazing with them is that they are easily blendable. I love applying them with my finger and tapping them on my cheeks and then blending the edges either with a clean finger and/or a foundation brush. Carrot Colour Pots are also long-lasting and they pretty much last all day long.

You may have heard me talking about them before (on Instagram) and that's because I enjoy them terribly. If I wouldn't, I definitely wouldn't have picked another shade. Even though I don't find them heavy at all and think they would work for pretty much every skin tone, I do have to say that if you find them to be too oily or creamy, you could try to apply a little bit of translucent powder first and then put the Carrot Colour Pot on top. Generally cream blushes don't apply and blend as nicely on top of powders, as they do before powdering the skin, but this lovely lady who had this problem (she found them to be too oily), tried applying some powder under the blush and said that this combination works great. If you are experiencing the same problem with a cream blush than perhaps try this too. Just use the powder sparingly, less is better. Also experiment and you'll see what works best for you. To me they are perfection when I apply them on top of my CC Cream (I'm using Sappho, shade Light - review here).

I have the shade Harmony*, a "dusty pink" or coral-ish pink. I'm wearing it on my cheeks and as an eyeshadow. Check out Harmony Carrot Colour Pot here.

And here is Happy*, a "crimson red", a red with a slight brown undertone. I'm wearing Happy on my cheeks and on my lips. Check out Carrot Colour Pot in Happy here.Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot in Happy. Love Lula

I love these beautiful cream blushes so much and I highly recommend them. I will definitely get more in the future, especially if they come out with new shades. I got Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pots at Love Lula.

You can get them here.

Much love,

Jana xx
