Short & Sweet: Two From Last Week

August 29, 2017

I'm not ready to write a post about my favourite products from August so I'll rather talk about two products that I fall in love with last week. One was forgotten in my bag and I found it in the beginning of the week and the other I've been using for about two weeks, and I've really been enjoying both.
Ever since I've started working with Love Lula I've not only been having lots of fun picking products from their shop but also trying out some very lovely new-to-me products and brands. One of them being John Masters Organics, a brand that has been around for a long while but it's not that talked about in the green beauty community. Well their haircare products are quite popular but skincare isn't. Not sure why but perhaps that needs to change. I've already mentioned their Firming Eye Gel* in this post but today I wanted to share their Bearberry Skin Balancing & Toning Mist* for oily and combination skin. First of all I really like that this mist is based on Aloe Vera. My skin always seems to prefer mists and toners that have a base of Aloe, rather than water. I find them more hydrating and calming. It contains quite a bunch of ingredients, 91% of them are certified organic. Willow, Rosemary, Lavender, these are all ingredients that can be beneficial for oily skin. The mist is described as a purifying and balancing. It may be, I don't know that yet but I do know that it is a very lovely mist with a very good misting spray nozzle. And it's not pore clogging. But it does contain Coconut Oil so if you're sensitive to it, maybe skip this one. One thing I would like to change with this product is the packaging. Looks like dark glass but it's not, it's plastic. Interesting, since the eye gel and the other skincare product I have are both in glass bottles.
The other product I want to mention in this post is Hurraw Vata Lip Balm*. Hurraw lip balms have been one of my favourites for a few years now. They have cool packaging, they're vegan, contain organic, raw (cold pressed), wildcrafted, no gmo ingredients. This scent is one of their "newer" ones (it's been out for quite a while now). Vata is one of the doshas in Ayurveda, which is the traditional medicine of India. There are three basic types of energy, universal principles known as the doshas - vata, pitta and kapha. And Hurraw transformed the three into scents. The word vata means to blow or move like the wind. I'm not quite sure which of the doshas is the most prominent in me so I just picked the balm based on the scent (I smelled them a while back in OrCa). To me it has that typical oriental, rich scent of Cardamom and Rose. It transports me somewhere else, I can't pinpoint where but it's beautiful. Yet another lovely lip balm from Hurraw, they never disappoint.

You can find both of these products on Love Lula

Much love,

Leahlani Skincare Aloha Ambrosia Morning Moisture Elixir

August 25, 2017

Ah Leahlani. One of my absolute favourite brands which I've been loving for years. I really don't know when was the first time I tried one of Leah's magical concoctions but I sure know the first Leahlani product I tried. It was the one and only Mermaid Mask. You know what? I finished a jar of it a few weeks ago and been patiently waiting for it to be back in stock at my girl Rayna and her beautiful online boutique Reina Organics (which now is and is already on route to me!), and I have to say I've been really missing it. It really is a true green gem. Well, if I quickly search my email I can see an Etsy purchase of the mask way back in 2014. Told you I was a fan. Do you remember the old packaging? It sure was cute. Leahlani came a very long way and evolved into this gorgeous skincare line and everyone wants to have at least one piece of the Hawaiian goodness in their home. At least I think it's like that in the green beauty community. I sure as heck need at least! one product at a time from the beautiful Leah in my home. Back in May I was so lucky to receive a beautiful parcel straight from Hawaii full of Leahlani products and I've been testing them ever since. Yes, I can take quite a lot of time to properly test out new products and I will never understand girls who try a product once or maybe they use it for a week and then they are all ready to write a review. First impressions yes, but a whole review? I ain't like that. But this intro is already too long as it is so let's talk about the product you came here to read about. Meet the absolutely beautiful Aloha Ambrosia Morning Moisture Elixir*.
The elixir is described as an exotic, superfood feast for your skin and I couldn't agree more. Actually the whole description of the Aloha Ambrosia is something that you would want to have immediately - her feather-light consistency and silken texture absorbs beautifully into the skin, infusing each cell with the essential nutrients it needs throughout the day- leaving your skin well fed, perfectly moisturized and wholly nourished. Doesn't it sound like a dream? Should I go on? Aloha Ambrosia is lavishly overflowing with youth enhancing antioxidants and vitamins derived from organic oils. And not just any organic oils but beautiful fruit oils such as Acerola Cherry, Mangosteen, Goji Berry, Passionfruit, Kiwi and Guava. Amm stunning?! These fruits are mostly known for their antioxidant benefits and they help to firm and tighten the skin, reduce inflammation and stimulate circulation. These beauties are lovingly blended into a base of Squalane, which is mostly known as a very good moisturizer but is so much more, Jojoba Oil and Aloe Vera. Simply beautiful.

Aloha Ambrosia is quite a lightweight product and I find it to really be ideal for daytime use. On me it doesn't absorb that fast but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin either, so I see no problem in that. It gives my skin an instant glow, the aloha glow and I love that dewy look. Does it moisturize to perfection, as they promise? It most definitely does! I'm so impressed I can't even think of good enough words to describe all the moisturizing benefits it provides. Even if I use it with the powdered sunscreen Farizad's Veil from Earthwise Beauty (which can be a bit drying with some facial oils), my skin is still looking completely and utterly happy and moisturized. I've been using the two together and they are such a perfect match. Not only that Aloha Ambrosia packs a massive, massive punch of moisture but my skin also feel so soft and plump. I don't even need a moisturizer with it, but I do use a toner and an aloe vera based serum because I can't be a minimalist when it comes to skincare. I really have so much love for this product.
One last thing I have to mention is the scent. There is no surprise there, the elixir has a beautiful scent, like all Leahlani products do. When I first sniffed it, I did find it too strong but once I applied it on my face, the scent was just right *insert the smiling emoji with a drop of sweat on one side of the face*. The sweet-floral scent comes from a proprietary blend of essential oils, their signature blend of Jasmine essential oils. I adore the scent, it gives me all the feels and I don't think there ever was a product containing Jasmine that I didn't like. It's not your typical scent of Jasmine but still oh so very beautiful. A very lovely way to start the day. Why? Because the delicate scent of jasmine is heavenly and connects with the heart, awakening romantic and poetic feelings while evoking a happy state of being. Jasmine stimulates the release of serotonin, which results in an uplifted mood and a burst of creative energy - the perfect way to start the day for your skin and spirit.
Aloha Ambrosia is suited for all skin types. I have combination skin and I didn't have any problems with pore clogging. It's very moisturizing, it makes my skin soft and supple. LOVE. Leahlani, you can take all my money. :)

You can get it at Leahlani Skincare shop or at Reina Organics (if you live in Europe).

Aloha!

Fresh Therapies Natural Nail Polish Remover

August 22, 2017

For me summer is a time when I use nail polishes more often than other times of the year. I'm going to be honest and say that I don't know a whole lot about ingredients in nail polishes and nail polish removers but there are definitely some that are better than others (in terms of well known ingredients that are best to avoid, like formaldehyde, toluene etc.). I have some water based polishes and some different polishes that are somewhere around 5 to 10-free of many not-the-best-ingredients-for-you. I don't paint my nails very often and when I do, I try to do it outside. When I used conventional nail polishes in the past the place would stink for quite a while and I just gotten used to either doing it outside or I painted my nails in the bathroom and then left the window open for an hour. The same was with nail polish removers and their horrible scents. Luckily I found natural products (or products on the natural side since nail polishes aren't that natural) so in this post I'm going to share a new-to-me nail polish remover that is friendlier to my nose and my nails.
Fresh Therapies Natural Nail Polish Remover* doesn't have a strong smelly scent which is a big plus for me. It kinda smells citrusy (a fragrant smell includes a hint of lime for freshness) but there are still some of those nail polish remover vibes. But really nothing major in comparison to the conventional stuff. It's free from any artificial acetones and it's not damaging to the natural oils within the nails. The remover is not tested on animals and is suitable for vegans. I really like the clear glass bottle, it's probably one of the most chic nail polish removers I've had, if not the most. It works really well and removes nail polish in seconds. A bit of rubbing is necessary but that's completely fine and normal. You also don't need a lot so if you're anything like me, the bottle will last a long time. The only thing to mention is to be slightly careful when pouring the remover onto a cotton pad. I recommend placing a pad on top of the bottle and rotate it upside down so you don't spill it around. I see people being so lazy with how some products are packaged and complaining where there's nothing to complain about. First world problems, am I right?  Anyways I almost forgot, this remover won't dry out your nails. When you are removing your nail polish the remover actually coats your nails with oils so there really isn't any dryness. I love that. But when you remove the nail polish you should definitely wash your hands and apply an oil or a hand cream to your nails. Or not, it really doesn't feel like you'd need to.
I love this product and I highly recommend it. It works perfectly at removing nail polish (not sure about glitter), it's not drying, it doesn't stink and in my experience it's so much better for your nails that some regular conventional nail polish remover. You can find this baby on Love Lula.

Going Places: Kamniška Bistrica

August 20, 2017

I wanted to post something different today but still very much in line with the whole natural and organic theme I have here on my blog. If you follow me on Instagram (and Facebook as well) then you've seen I'm pretty much nature obsessed and I always love sharing photos of nature, either be in the woods or near the sea. I definitely feel the best when I'm near the sea (lakes are very good too) but there is something very magical being in the forest surrounded by trees. I love it and I see that so many of you and my insta friends love it as well so why not share some more nature photos here on the blog. As they say, green beauty is everywhere and there is especially a lot of it in a place called Kamniška Bistrica. When I shared photos and especially when I showed videos on my insta stories I got so many comments about the place so here are a few more photos of the valley for you to enjoy.
Hope you liked it and have a wonderful start of the week!

With love,

Jana xx

*a few of these photos were taken by my lovely friends, especially those where I'm on them :)

Alima Pure Lip Tints

August 15, 2017

Nourishing. Soothing. Colorful. That is the description of Alima Pure Lip Tints that I'm going to talk to you about today. At Alima Pure they believe in minimal ingredients for maximum impact. Their products aren't tested on animals and are made from pure mineral pigments, nourishing plant oils, soothing botanicals, free from synthetic dyes, talc, nano particles and more. I already talked about two lipsticks from Alima Pure that I love but I have to say that their Lip Tints are even better.
Alima Pure Lip Tint is a buttery lip balm that conditions your lips with sheer wash of color. Formulated with a blend of soothing oils, like Pomegranate and Pumpkin Seed Oil, butters, like Cocoa Butter and waxes for a rich, moisturizing finish. Nourishing, moisturizing, buttery lip balm. Reading thins like that I was definitely expecting a lovely, easy-to-wear lippie. Did I get that? I'm happy to say that I did. I have two lips tints and both have a soft, buttery texture, they are moisturizing and feel so nice on the lips. They actually do feel like lip balms. My lips feel soft and have a beautiful wash of colour on them. But it's actually not just a wash of colour, they are much more pigmented and opaque that I was expecting. And I love that.

Lip Tints are available in 9 shades and I have two of them, Honey and Rosewood. Both are carmine free but be careful if you want vegan shades because not every Lip Tint shade is carmine free. For those of you who don't know, carmine is red pigment produced from a type of bugs and is used in a variety of things, including makeup and food. Search for "carmine, CI 75470 or E120", if you wish to avoid it. I do still have some old lipsticks that contain carmine but all my new ones don't contain it.
Honey* is a nude shade, described as a "peachy beige". It's a very beautiful shade but because it's quite a light shade, I don't think it particularly suits my complexion. I don't really wear it on its own, maybe just one coat of it. I much rather pair it with the other shade I own, called Rosewood*. I thought Rosewood is more like a pink, dark pink colour, but it's actually more of a brown, brown with a touch of red colour. It's described as a "shimmery cocoa". I have to say that both are very good descriptions of the shades, I could hardly think of better words to describe them. They are very nicely pigmented and so comfortable to wear, I'm impressed and I wouldn't mind have a shade or two more.
I'm wearing Rosewood on the left photo, Honey in the middle and both together in the last photo.

I got my Alima Pure Lip Tints at Corpo Natura.

Mel Millis Phytonutri Daily Cleansing Oil

August 11, 2017

As you could see in this post I've been using quite a number of stunning products lately and the one that in my opinion really deserve a post is the absolutely gorgeous Mel Millis Phytonutri Daily Cleansing Oil*. This is a true stunner and I love it so much! Mel Millis artisan luxury skincare is based on its integrity to constantly strive in obtaining and using only the purest, freshest, nutrient rich, sustainably sourced, certified organic natural ingredients, only chosen for their individual ability to deliver exceptional, proven, effective results and not simply because of their organic status. Their products are free from many ingredients that I prefer to avoid, like Petrochemicals, Synthetic Ingredients, Mineral Oil and more, and they are also vegan (with exception of one product, their MM Face Peel contains honey). Products are made in micro-batches, in the UK, without outsourced base formulas. I'm in love with their philosophy, their ingredients and the packaging. You are probably all sick of me talking about the flower seeds infused packaging that I planted (and made a video that is up on my Facebook page) and I'm patiently awaiting for the flowers to peek through.
The Daily Cleansing Oil is suitable for all skin types and I have to say that my combination skin has been loving it. On the outside this product looks gorgeous and I just can't stop talking about those flower seeds in their paper packaging (you all know I love flowers and nature) and the inside is equally gorgeous. Probably more. Ingredient list is 100% certified organic which you know I love. This beautiful oil contains oils of Jojoba, Apricot, Avocado, Rosehip and Camellia. The oil is really quite lightweight and not greasy, and I really wouldn't mind using it as my daily facial oil. It beautifully cleanses and purifies the skin, removes excess dirt and makeup. I will say that you need a few seconds more to thoroughly dissolve mascara which is actually a good thing because the scent of this oil is divine. I don't know precisely what is it but it makes me so calm & relaxed, and uplifted, all at the same time. Aromatherapy is no joke and the blend of essential oils in this product are really just so gorgeous. Can't stop sniffing it. I love the ritual of cleansing and removing my makeup at night as it is, but with this cleansing oil the experience is on a whole different level. The blend of Rosemary, Lavender, Sweet Orange, Rose Geranium and Chamomile is truly wonderful. Some of these essential oils are also known for their anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and astringent properties, to leave skin feeling refreshed, uplifted and cleansed. Love.
This beautiful cleansing oil also comes with organic muslin cloth which I wanted to include in the photos but unfortunately I'm not sure which one is it, because I have quite a few of them. Like it is with cleansing oils, I gently massage it into my skin, directly on top of my makeup, and just massage it for a while. Then I soak muslin or cotton cloth in warm water and gently wipe everything off. I always double cleanse my skin and sometimes I use it as a second cleanser but usually I use something else, lately the oil of choice has been the Pacific Northwest Body Oil* from Earthwise Beauty. Yes, I've been using their body oil as a second evening cleanser and it's been doing a good job.

I got the Mel Millis Phytonutri Cleansing Oil on Love Lula. I highly recommend it.

Have a lovely end of the week!
With love,

Jana xx

Take Care of Them Teeth

August 07, 2017

I wanted to talk to you about teeth and dental care today. I’m actually not the one who notices teeth as a first thing in a person nor am I the best and most regular visitor at the dentist. I wouldn’t say I’m scared of them but it is safe to say I don’t particularly enjoy going there. My teeth are not perfect but since I’ve been really enjoying products in my current routine I simply have to share them with you.
The first this to mention is of course my toothbrush. In fact I’ve already mention it on my Instargam quite a while ago – it’s from a German brand Hydrophil (unfortunately it’s only created in Germany but made in China). Oh well. It is the best bamboo toothbrush I’ve tried and I tried a few. I’ve lost count of how many times I bought it which tells you that I really like it. The head of the toothbrush is a little smaller that your typical plastic brush but you quickly get used to that. You can also easier brush the teeth in the back and all around them. I have a medium soft and the bristles are precisely that - not too soft, not too hard, just lovely. Why do I use a bamboo toothbrush? Because it is a wonderful alternative to toothbrushes made from plastic. Ugh the annoying and horrible plastic! Not every plastic toothbrush can be recycled, if any, but luckily you can toss this bamboo toothbrush on your compost and in time it will disintegrate. The toothbrush's handle is bio-degradable and plastic-free and consists 100% of bamboo. The bristles are made from Nylon and are BPA free. They use colours that don't contain mineral oils or other chemical additives and that therefore don't leave any residue in the drinking- and groundwater when composted. Plus they are fair trade and they also give back to an organization commited to establish access to clean drinking water and basic sanitation for all humans worldwideYas! You can find them on their website (I think they ship worldwide), in almost every Müller or on Ecco Verde.
Next product is also crucial for healthy teeth and that is a good toothpaste. I’ve also tried a few natural and fluoride free toothpastes, mostly ones I found in our drugstores and different health stores. I bought quite a number of Himalaya’s Neem & Pomegranate toothpastes, they are good and you can find them in Dm’s. One I still have in the bathroom cupboard and can’t seem to get rid of is from Weleda. Don’t recommend them. Both of them are available in Dm. My newest obsession is the one I’ve mentioned in my previous post, the Davids Premium Natural Toothpaste. It’s fresh and minty, lathers nicely and is made from recyclable metal packaging. It’s really a lovely product. Available on Beauty Heroes (subscribers have 15% off).
These two are always a part of my everyday routine but with the rest, unfortunately, I’m not as strict with and I don’t use them every single day, some only once a week. I do try and floss my teeth almost every single day (but one week is better than next). Like with the two already mentioned, I tried and  found a more eco friendly floss, meaning without plastic. The beautiful Suzi from Gurl Gone Green spoke about the Eco Dent Gentle Floss and luckily I found it on iHerb and immediately bought two of them. There is no plastic box, the box is the dispenser. Yas! Well the floss is wrapped around a plastic reel and it is stored in a plastic bag but there is no plastic case which is amazing! There is also a whole bunch of other things to mention – it’s vegan, there is no beeswax, no mineral wax, no artificial colours, sweeteners. It’s made with a blend of 11 essential oils, like Peppermint, Orange, Lemon, Anise, Fennel and more. I never looked at the ingredients in a conventional dental floss but this one is made with some very interesting ingredients, like Jojoba and Rice Bran Oils, Candelilla and Rice Bran Wax. Interesting. I have to say that I was slightly scared it wouldn’t work between my thigh gaps between my teeth but it actually does work really well. Get it on iHerb.
Bedrock & Bloom Smart Ash* is an all natural & organic teeth whitener + detoxifier, a non-abrasive powder made with Activated Coconut Shell Charcoal, All Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay and Mint, Orange Peel & Frankincense (all certified organic). I’m sure you’ve all seen selfies of people brushing their teeth with charcoal. It sure looks pretty having black teeth when you’re doing this haha. The thing with using charcoal on your teeth is that it can be a bit abrasive and not good for enamel. Bedrock & Bloom says "We've had Smart Ash independently lab tested test for abrasiveness using the RDA scale. The American Dental Association's recommended limit for abrasiveness using this scale is 250. Smart Ash was way under that at 105. So it's very fine and definitely not going to scrub off your enamel." Smart Ash promises to whiten teeth, cleans and detoxifies, reduce sensitivity, strengthen and restore. I have to say that it really whitens my teeth and cleanses them really well, but I don’t use it daily because I find it a bit to abrasive. All in all I really like this product and recommend it.
Another thing that really and truly whitens my teeth is the good old oil pulling (my post about it). This is an Ayurvedic practice for which you need coconut or sesame oil which you swish around in your mouth for about 20 minutes. Not only that it whitens your teeth and makes them feel super clean, it also helps to keep your gums and whole mouth healthy. Oil pulling is actually a wonderful detoxifier, like a whole body detoxifier. It is recommended to do it first thing in the morning, before drinking anything because while we sleep at night our saliva doesn’t circulate and we wake up with a mouthful of bad oral bacteria. So rather than swallow this bacteria take a teaspoon of oil and swish it for 10 to 20 minutes. 20 is better. After you’ve done it you have to spit it out and not swallow it! Spit it out in a trash bin and not in the sink, so you don’t clog up the pipes. I was super religious about this practice a while ago (like three years ago) and also wrote a blog post about it. I also inspired my friend to do oil pulling and she has now been doing it quite some time. And her teeth are really white!
I usually don’t complicate with the oil I use and simply use extra virgin, unrefined, organic coconut oil but the latest oil I used was 100% organic Dental Oil for healthy gums & teeth* from an Austrian brand Pure Skin Food. It’s based on Sesame Seed Oil, and also contains Olive Oil, Black Cumin, Calendula & Rosemary Extract and Parfum made from organic essential oils. Even though it contains parfum, the oil doesn’t have a strong and overpowering scent of essential oils. On the contrary I smell Black Cumin and Sesame Oil mixed with a bit of citrus. I really liked this oil, it tasted much fresher than coconut oil. But not as fresh as if it would if you'd use an oil with mint. In the end, the oil did a very good job and I liked using it.
If you’re not into the idea of oil pulling, which you really should give it a go (yeah, firstly you can experience some gagging but you get used to it and after results you end up loving it), at least brush your teeth the first thing in the morning, so you don’t swallow that nasty bacteria. On top of that I also suggest a nice mouthwash or a Brushing Rinse, like the one from Essential Oxygen. I found this product on iHerb and I’ve been really enjoying it. It contains 1% Food-Grade Hydrogen Peroxide, Deionized Purified Water, organic Aloe Vera and organic essential oils of Peppermint, Clove, Lemon, Eucalyptus, Cinnamon and Rosemary. Tastes very nice and fresh.

The last thing I want to mention is a tongue scraper. I usually just scrape my tongue with my toothbrush, I think I bought a plastic tongue scraper only once but I’ve been really into the idea of buying a stainless steel one. I have yet to find one and look for it online, so if you have any recommendations, hit me up.

Here you have it, these are the products I use every day or at least a few days of the week for my teeth and dental care. Hope you liked it and keep on smiling. :)

With love,

Jana xx

Products that Impressed Me

August 02, 2017

Hi lovelies! Hope you're all having a lovely start of the new month. I wanted to start August with lots of love and share with you some bits and bobs that really blown me away. I've been struggling with the title of this post because this is not a favourites post but rather first impression/I'm really impressed with these products but I'm not ready to write a full on reviews of them. Not sure about you, but I test the majority of my products for a few weeks, if not months. Especially when it comes to skincare! So yeah like I said this post is going to be all about products that impressed me with first or tenth use. Not sure with which product should I start since I pretty much fell in love with all of them.
Davids Premium Natural Toothpaste is a toothpaste I wanted to try for a while but unfortunately they didn't ship to Europe. Luckily they are now available in the Beauty Heroes Beauty Shop and with my latest order I got not only one, but two. I thought to myself everybody is already loving this toothpaste so why not get two? I'm so pleased I did. Davids toothpastes are made from premium natural ingredients, without sulfates, artificial flavours, sweeteners, colors, preservatives, of course they are also flouride free. No animal testing and vegan as well. I love the packaging which is made from recyclable metal tube and you know what really makes my heart sing? That little tool that the toothpaste comes with it. I always wanted one of those haha. After using it three times I can honestly say that this is the best natural toothpaste I've ever tried. It's like a conventional toothpaste. Tastes very fresh and minty, and it actually also sting my mouth a bit. I never liked that burning feel when using conventional toothpastes but this one doesn't burn my tongue out and at the same time it does have a little kick to it which I like. Thumbs up!
Lately I've been very much into bar soaps. I wish to minimize my bathroom products waste and what better way to do that then with good old soaps? I made my own soap before, multiple times, but I found it a bit too drying to use in the shower so I ordered Trevarno Organic Soap Selection* and hoped for the best. I've tried some Trevarno products in the past and really liked them so I kinda knew I would like the soaps but you know how it is, some can be drying on the skin. Well these are very lovely. There are five different soaps in this box and I've tried two of them - Propolis and Lavender & Geranium. They all have quite a similar base of ingredients like, saponified Olive and Coconut Oils, Shea and Cocoa Butter. Propolis is used for it healing and restorative benefits, especially good for very dry or unhappy skin. I love this one! It provides a nice lather, cleanses my skin beautifully, it's not drying (just a touch to be really honest, but nothing major!) and I've just really been a fan of it. Lavender & Geranium soap on the other hand is slightly more drying so I rather use it as a hand soap and it works great for that. I'm excited to try the rest of them.
Talking about bar soaps I have another one I want to mention. This one is actually a shampoo! I've tried a few solid shampoo bars but I never liked them, at all! I always found them very, very drying and greasy at the same time. They just didn't do their job properly. I used them up as hand soaps at the end. Then a few weeks ago my cousins were very interested in trying out some solid shampoo bars and I quickly went on Etsy and found the brand Funky Soap. For my first shampoo from them I opted for the Acai Berry Shampoo and I couldn't have been happier with it. Lathers really beautifully, it's so easy to use and it makes such a good job of cleansing my hair. I'm so pleased with it. It is just slighty drying but since it leaves my hair soft and smooth, I really don't find that to be a problem. Funky Soap is a UK brand, 100% natural and handmade, not tested on animals and this Acai berry shampoo is also suitable for vegans. As opposed to Trevarno soaps, this one does contains Palm Oil BUT it's certified sustainable palm oil which I'm so happy to support. You can read more about palm oil in this post. Yeah, I like this shampoo very much.
Next are some very lovely skincare products. First is Phytonutri Daily Cleansing Oil* from another UK brand, Mel Millis. I adore this cleansing oil. The scent, omg the scent of this product is Divine! Ingredients are 100% certified organic and the truly gorgeous, relaxing yet uplifting scent comes from the blend of Sweet Orange, Chamomile, Lavender and Geranium. So. In. Love. The cleanser is suitable for all skin types and is enriched with the plant oils of Apricot, Avocado and Camellia. It works well at removing my makeup and excess dirt, and leaves my skin fresh and soft. It's a beautiful, beautiful product! I actually already mentioned this product on my Facebook page for its lovely packaging which is infused with dried wild British flowers. I posted up a video of planting the packaging and I've been watering them every day and the paper packaging just recently disintegrated. At least it looks that way when I stir around some dirt in the pot. Fingers crossed there will be some flowers peeking through soon. I'm overly excited about that haha.
The next product that positively surprised me is the Firming Eye Gel* from John Masters Organics. After testing out the texture on my skin I honestly didn't expect that much from this eye gel but it's actually better than I thought. It is exactly what is says it it, a gel. A super lightweight gel made with the base of Aloe Vera, Rose Flower Water and Rye Seed Extract. Plant extract in the product help to reduce inflammation and puffiness while helping to prevent damage from free radicals. The Eye Gel is hydrating and because it is so lightweight it's been a dream to use in this past few weeks. I don't see any big differences regarding fine lines around my eyes but I love that it's hydrating. Luckily I don't have problems with puffy eyes but I do see it helping with that, especially if you would store it in the fridge. It's a great everyday eye cream, especially for summer.
Last but most certainly not least a product from one of my favourite brands. Can you guess which one is it? Leahlani Skincare, of course! Leah's creations are truly magical and if there ever is a brand you should try then Leahlani is definitely it. I've been a fan of the brand for so long now and my love is forever growing. The product I've been loving lately is Aloha Ambrosia Morning Moisture Elixir*. It's an exotic feast for the skin, carefully formulated to hydrate and nourish the skin with organic Aloe and a potent blend of organic, Antioxidant rich tropical fruit oils such as Mangosteen, Goji Berry, Passion Fruit and Guava. It has quite a strong tropical scent, which I love & adore but at the first sniff it was just a tad too strong for me. When applied to the skin the scent is just right and it's one of those happy scents that bring a smile to my face. And that is always a good thing in the morning. I love that this oil is lightweight and easily absorbed into the skin & it doesn't clog my pores. It's a very yummy product.

Have you tried any of these products? Care to share your thoughts?

Happy Wednesday!

With love,

Jana xx
