I’ve been really into balms lately. Face balms, body balms, gimme all the balms. Or butters. Funny because it’s spring and I’m obsessed with rich and very nourishing products. But since I loved the Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm so much I decided to try another Lyonsleaf product, this time their Body Butter*, which was recently awarded a gold medal at the Skinsmatter FreeFrom Skincare Awards.
Lyonsleaf Body Butter is an intensive moisturizing treatment that hydrates the body for beautifully soft, smooth and healthy skin. This remarkable water-free product uses only natural oils that are absorbed easily into every layer of the epidermis, with no greasy residue. Body butter contains an array of beautiful 100% natural ingredients, 95% of them are organic. The blend of Shea Butter, Coconut, Avocado and Sweet Almond Oils (all cold pressed) create a wonderful butter that glides onto the skin and is nicely absorbed. I love the consistency of this butter. It’s not crumbly but soft and almost mousse-like. I’d say it’s gently whipped. It’s really lovely. The scent is quite nice too. It’s a mix of Benzoin Resin (soft, sweet, warm aroma), Clary Sage (woody, herbal), Geranium (floral) and Calendula (warm, subtle). The unique blend of essential oils also helps to balance sebum, while
the addition of calendula penetrates deep into the dermis to promote
collagen cell regeneration and speed healing of any minor inflammations. It’s quite a relaxing scent. The only thing I have to mention here is that Lyonsleaf doesn’t recommend using this product regularly during pregnancy. They do feel it is safe for occasional use.
Lyonsleaf Body Butter is cruelty free and vegan, and suitable for all skin types. It works beautifully at moisturizing the skin and makes it soft, smooth and healthy. It’s a very lovely product and I’m yet again impressed with Lyonsleaf. Get it at Love Lula.
Much love,
Jana xx
