Sunday's Bath Time

November 28, 2016

Hi lovelies! Hope you are all well. Yesterday I was having a lovely bath session and I thought to myself I should write about the products I've used since I pretty much love everything I used. So here it goes.
Since I applied a face mask, let me quickly mention how I cleansed my face. Now I didn't have any makeup on, so I only washed it once. I used the Mekha Cleansing Balm aka Herbal Active Cleanser* from Siam Seas that I got in the Boxwalla Box. I will write more about this subscription box, but let me tell you that it's a close second to my beloved Beauty Hereos. In every Boxwalla Beauty Box there are some drop dead gorgeous products and I was so very lucky to finally try Siam Seas, a brand I heard so much great things about. Boy oh boy, I was completely blown away!<3 Hopefully I will do a proper review soon, but for now let me just tell you that I don't remember when was the last time I was so impressed with a skincare. And so quickly. The results were immediate! I've been using the three products that I got (here are all of them) for two weeks and every morning I'm more in awe with the results. Truly stunning! I've been loving this cleasning balm as my second balm to cleanse my skin with, and when I don't have makeup on I only use one cleanser. Mekha balm is a new product from Siam Seas and it's a beautiful one. It's a unique product and different than any cleansing balm I've used before. The balm has two textures - one is your standard balmy balm and the other is dryer, made with dry herbs. Every ingredient in the formula has been carefully selected to deliver a powerful synergistic effect to alleviate inflammation and to dissolve dead skin cells. It's a three-in-one product, a cleanser, a gentle scrub and a mask. Contains Honey infused with Royal Jelly, Propolis and Pollen, active herbs like Turmeric, Thanaka, Ginger and more. It's so wonderful.
After removing the Siam Seas cleansing balm it's time for an indulgent mask. Ever since I got the November Beauty Heroes Box my Sundays have been reserved for one mask only - the Josh Rosebrook's Antioxidant Cacao Mask*. I adore this mask. Firstly I love the scent of it. It's a mix of Cacao and flowers like Lavender, Orange, Rosemary, but it smells so much more complex than I'm making it sound. It's so lovely. It also contains Witch Hazel, Turmeric, Goji Berry, Beetroot, Marula Oil, and more beautiful ingredients. This mask is filled with goodness. As the name suggest, it's based on Cacao, a gorgeous ingredient that is rich in antioxidants, it's firming and stimulating. Great ingredient for the skin. This mask is really decadent and I'd say it's very concentrated with only the good stuff. It has a thick and rich consistency that applies beautifully but you have to be quite quick with it. If you want to fix a spot on your skin where you already applied it, then you have to do it fast because otherwise you can easily wipe some mask off. The mask dries on the face but it's not drying. It is recommended to leave on for 45 minutes and I happily do so. Due to pure cacao the mask is a dark brown/black colour, so the washing off can be a bit messy. Removing it in a shower or bath is way better than in the sink, just be careful not to wash it off with hot water. I see instant resutls which are even better the morning after. My skin looks brighter, redness is reduced, it's calmer and the pores look smaller. It's truly a wonderful mask. I do love cacao based masks but I have to say that this one is my favourite cacao mask that I've had a pleasure to try.
This time around I tried my newest bath addition, a product I've received in Love Lula November Beauty Box*, the Moa Green Bath Potion Shot, with Peppermint and Fennel. I was very excited to use it, as stated on my Instagram. A therapeutic, invigorating herbal blend, sure to put  the spring back in your step after a long, tiring day. This bath was exactly what they say - it's invigorating and de-stressing, and I felt the Peppermint working - it slightly cooled down my body and I mean that in the nicest way possible. I wasn't cold, it almost felt a bit tingly. I believe this could be great for sore muscles and for relieving aches and pains. The thing I didn't care for was its strong scent. I poured in the whole bottle and found the scent too overpowering. I can't really say I enjoyed that. But I did feel the effects so I'm still interested in the brand and will look at their other products.
After the bath I washed my hair with Tabitha James Kraan Golden Citrus Organic Hair Cleanser* and 4-in1 Conditioner*. I reviewed them here, and I still love them. The only thing is that I'm almost out of the shampoo and I still have a whole lot of conditioner to use. Which might be a good thing because then I would only need to buy a new bottle of the cleanser. Either way I love them and I also do their other products. I left the conditioner in my hair and continue with a shower gel.
And not just with any shower gel but with the latest Hero, the Kahina Giving Beauty Moroccan Rose Beldi Soap*. Beauty Heroes surprised us all with their 13th Discovery featuring the Moroccan inspired brand, the Kahina Giving Beauty. I already wrote about two of the Katharine's products, the Serum and Facial Cleanser. You can see and read what you can get in this BH box in my insta post. It's a separate box, like it was the Vapour box, but as before, subscribers get 15% off. Otherwise it's $46 or $48, depends on the Beldi soap scent. As mentioned, I opted for the Rose one. If you are a fan of roses then do get this one, because it smells like the most beautiful bouquet of roses. Mmm so good. As I said for the Mekha cleanser, this product is also very unique. It contains only two ingredients - Saponified Olive Oil and Rose Flower Oil (Traditional or Eucalyptus version contains Eucalyptus Leaf Oil). That doesn't sound unique? Well then look at it! It has an unusual gel-like consistency, it's slippery and jelly-like, almost gloopy. Hard to describe this one. It's luxurious and nothing like I've ever used before. It provides some lather, not a lot, but enough to still thoroughly cleanse my skin. It requires a bit of work, because of the bloppy texture which can fall on the bottom of your shower. But it's all worth it. It's a lovely soap to use on its own but boy did it impress me when I used it with the accompanying Kessa Mitt. The mitt is actually an exfoliating mitt made from rayon, and is plucked directly from the time honored hammam experience. You apply the soap and then exfoliate the skin with the kessa mitt. You wouldn't believe how many dead skin cells you'll be getting rid off. I thought my skin was soft before but I was so wrong. The duo is so wonderful and I highly recommend them! If you suffer from dry skin or just want back that baby skin, then do try the 13th Discovery by Beauty Heroes. You won't regret it.
Last but certainly not least is Rachel's Plan Bee Body Butter in Vanilla & Spice. A rich and luxe body butter that will make your skin even softer, if that is even possible after the exfoliation. The whipped body butter is based on Shea Butter, one of the best ingredients for dry skin. It's deeply moisturizing and I love using it. Like it is with Rachel's body products, the scent lingers on for a day. When my boyfriend says he still smells it after a whole day, then you know it's good. Talking about the scent, I don't really smell much Vanilla, it's so funny that I actually smell buckwheat. I don't mind it and it seems that the scent changes on my skin, but I do prefer the Original scent to be perfectly honest. Nonetheless, the texture, the whole feel and the performance is wonderful so I'm happy with the product. Plus it looks so lush - look here.

As you can see I had a great bath, not only because of all these lovely products but also because I started watching Gilmore Girls from the beginning. I mean how could I not after watching the new GG release? In love. :)

With love,

Jana xx

de Mamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm

November 25, 2016

A few weeks ago I was so very fortunate to receive a beautiful parcel from a Berlin-based green beauty shop, the chic and luxurious Savue Beauty shop. As is often the case when working with beauty shops, I picked a product or two by my choice to try and test out. Like always I had a hard time choosing amongst all the gorgeous selection of brands and products. In the end I decided on the de Mamiel Resorative Cleansing Balm* (and Kester Black Nail Polish in Petra*), and I couldn't have made a better decision! Wow.
De Mamiel is a brand I wanted to try for quite some time. I've read a number of wonderful reviews, and I was also drawn to the very chic and gorgeous packaging. Not to mention the ingredients. All of their products look and sound stunning. You know when I have a chance to try a new product, I always think about and try to choose products that I actually need (and sometimes want). So here comes the cleansing balm, which is besides cleansing oils, my favourite product to use at evenings to cleanse my face. I've already stated that I adore the packaging. I mean don't you just love the design of it? The balm is stored in a violet glass to preserve the vitality of the precious ingredients, and those cute blue flowers make me heart sing. I don't know what it is with me and this light blue colour (thinking also about the Nap). I don't actually own anything in this shade of blue, besides my newest beach addition, the light blue cover-up that my beautiful friend Nic bought for me in Thailand (bless her!), but I guess I will have to get some things in this colour because there is clearly something going on there.

With Annee's de Mamiel saying in mind - "Everything that touches you, matters", let's take a quick look at the ingredients. Where to begin? The balm contains a whole bunch of beautiful plant butters and oils, like Camellia, Mango, Moringa, Kukui, Marula, and the list goes on. I love the addition of Calendula, Carrot and Chamomile, always a fan of those three. It also has beeswax, if you are avoiding it. Every single ingredient brings the balm together into something truly magical. I believe that the reason why I love this product so much is also the amazing scent. I almost said that I can't explain it, but I actually can - the scent calms me and makes me feel really good. I completely agree with the description "aromatic cleanser" and "packed with spirit affirming flower essences that turns a beauty basic into a luxurious treatment". So much love. The bespoke blend of essential oils; Fragonia, Cape Chamomile, Rose Myrtle, Rose Geranium, Honey Myrtle, and Eucalyptus, release emotional baggage and ease stress and nervous tension when deeply inhaled as part of the cleansing ritual. It's funny how I thought it contains Ginger because something in it reminds me of the beloved spice. The scent is strong but I like that. It's uplifting, but not in a way that it wakes me up, on the contrary, it soothes my mind. I must sound crazy, but essential oils are more powerful and aromatherapy isn't just some random hocus pocus.
This meltingly aromatic cleanser is suitable for all skin types, it's exquisitely soft and silky, rich but light, effective but never harsh. They say it deep-cleanse the complexion, leaving it satin-soft, glowing and calm. I completely agree with everything! I wish I could show you how it looks more properly, as you can see I took a while to review it so I only have enough left for two or three times. Sad times. I apply this soft and silky balm on my dry face and massage it into my skin for around a minute. I also used this balm for my gua sha massage, and that was so lovely! Now the balm is effective but sometimes I wish it would dissolve my mascara quicker, and easier. I actually prefer cleansing oils for removing my eye makeup anyways. In the end it does remove everything, especially with the help of a warm washcloth. My skin is left soft and calm. De Mamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm makes cleansing a skin soothing and nourishing ritual, taking away the day’s stress, and what is there not to love about it? I have to say that this cleanser is a dream to use and I'm so grateful I had a chance to try it out.

If you want to try this beautiful baby, then now is the perfect time, since I have a Black Friday deal for you. Use code "blackfriday" and get 30% off on one order at Savue Beauty (more info here). Oh and let me just quickly share one other deal - Earthwise Beauty also has a promotional offer - use code "BlackFriday" and get 20% off. Plus I have to mention my girl Rayna, who will be donating 5% from every purchase on Reina Organics to support orphans and children with disabilities in Bulgaria (Rayna's home country). And now I'm off.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Much love,

Jana xx

Kimberly Sayer Gentle Almond & Lavender Scrub

November 23, 2016

Kimberly Sayer is a brand I've already spoken about here on my blog. I tried and absolutely loved her Ultra Light Facial Moisturizer SPF 30 (my review here). I still highly recommend the sunscreen, especially to those of you who struggle with finding a sunscreen for oily and combination skin, and for those who are annoyed with heavy, thick and greasy sunscreens. This one is lightweight, quickly absorbed and non-clogging. A beautiful product. Today I have another beautiful Kimberly Sayer product review for you, their scrub.
Kimberly Sayer Gentle Almond and Lavender Face Scrub* is a gentle and non-abrasive exfoliator, that won't cause micro scratches, which is a common side effect of most (mechanical) scrubs. To simplify it, this exfoliator is a blend of Shea Butter, Essential oils and Organic Grains that thoroughly cleans and decongests clogged pores. Contains a trio of organic exfoliating grains, including Almond Meal, Jojoba Beads and Oat Beta Glucan which protects skin against UVA oxidative stress.

The product has a thick, rich and creamy texture, and can be used straight from the glass jar, no water needed. I apply it quite sparingly, like a pea-size amount and that is enough to massage and exfoliate my whole face. The grains are soft and really lovely to use. The product is actually really gentle and can be used everyday. I don't think that's really necessary since I always remove my makeup with a washcloth, which provides skin exfoliation. To me it's more of a weekly than daily exfoliator, and when I use it, I always do so it in the morning in a place of my usual cleanser (which is the Earthwise Beauty Scarborough Fair Face Cleanser*). One other thing that I love about this product is the scent, which I think goes perfectly with the consistency and the overall feel of the product. Contains Ylang Ylang (a floral, sweet scent I really grew to love and adore in this year), Orange Oil and delicate natural Almond aroma. I mostly smell almonds. It's a pleasant, soft and almost soothing scent.
The product is recommended for all skin types, but I would especially recommend it for normal, dry and mature skin. On my combination skin it works great too, but I can see being too rich for acne-prone skin, which I only base on the consistency and not on anything else (meaning it doesn't clog my pores). I also think it could be a nice exfoliator for sensitive skin. And remember what Kimberly says: "proper cleansing is the foundation of good skin care˝, and having a product like this makes cleansing your skin really nice and enjoyable.

With love,

Jana xx

UMA Ultimate Brightening Face Mask

November 18, 2016

In September I had a chance to try UMA Oils products for the very first time and I was pretty much blown away. Such wonderful products, really. I wrote a review of the ah-mazing hair oil, the Intensely Nourishing Hair Oil*, which was the September’s Beauty Heroes Hero, and you can check it out here. I adore it so much. Here I also have to mention how much I love being Beauty Heroes brand ambassador. I can't express how lucky and grateful I feel to be a part of such incredible community. So. Much. Love. But back to UMA. Besides the beautiful hair oil, I also really liked their Absolute Anti Aging Body Oil* which I mentioned here. Now today I’m going to introduce you to their Ultimate Brightening Face Mask*
The mask was a part of the BH discovery, we all received a deluxe sample of it. I had some problems with it but after chatting to Jeannie (the Beauty Heroes founder) and then to Shrankhla (founder of UMA), she so very kindly sent me a brand new jar of the mask. #blessed The masks comes in a matte glass jar (or frosty but without that cringy nail scraping sound or feel) and has a very pretty design of plants on it. But you can see that yourself so let me rather talk about the ingredients. All UMA's products are 100% organic, vegan, and free from synthetic fragrances and emulsifiers, preservatives, parabens, GMOs, and mineral oils.

In a base of  Bentonite Clay, Aloe Vera, Honey (ethically sourced and tree harvested by the native Adivasi tribe from the same protected sanctuary that they have lived in for hundreds of years - I always appreciated this sort of information) and Rose Water, there are some beautiful ingredients that work so great. Truly. Warming spices, like Cinnamon, Saffron and Sandalwood, bring fresh blood to the top layer of the skin, promoting healing of existing wounds, acne and inflammation, they bring luminosity to the skin and minimize pores for an instant toning effect. Free radical-fighting Orange Peel delivers a rush of Vitamin C deep into the dermis while also promoting cellular turnover through a gentle peeling action.
Their age-old brightening formula comes from generations of research into ingredients that naturally reverse hyper-pigmentation and sun damage. You can expect visibly even tone, smoother texture, and a radiant glow. Read all that? It’s so true! My skin is brighter, smoother and visibly less red and inflamed. Don’t get me wrong, the red scaring doesn’t just disappear in an instant but they do look brighter and with regular use they disappear quicker. It really is such a wonderful mask and every time I use it I’m more impressed. You can make this mask even lovelier following their tip to gently rub an ice cube on the skin for one minute after mask removal. Honestly, I haven’t done that, since I never really have ice cubes in my freezer but I do rinse it off with cold water. Remove with lukewarm water, finish with cold. I have to say that it feels really nice and refreshing, especially because the mask is warming and also tingles when I apply it on my skin. Even though the tingling sensation can be quite intense, the mask doesn’t irritate my skin or anything like that. It actually helps to reduce inflammation so I don’t mind it one bit. Plus, it goes away in a minute or two. It is said that you can leave the mask on for 7 minutes or as long as you desire. After a few minutes it dries so I can’t really move my facial muscles or talk too much, but I still prefer to leave it on for longer than just 7 minutes.
This mask really is such a beautiful product and I highly recommend it, especially to those with acne prone, oily, combination skin. I believe it would work great on other types of skin too, but I can only write reviews based on my personal experience. I absolutely love it! You can get it here.

Happy weekend!

Much love,

Jana xx

Earthwise Beauty Giveaway!

November 15, 2016

Babes, I have an exciting news for you. I have been going on and on about Earthwise Beauty and Ava's magical products. I love pretty much everything I've tried and I really recommend this brand. Love it so much! I want to spread this love so today I have a giveaway for you! Yay! One lucky lady will receive three Earthwise Beauty products and I couldn't be more excited!

First is Blackstrap Molasses Face Mask ($44). An absolutely beautiful face mask that I've reviewed here. It's brightening, smoothing, firming, like the description says. It really brightens my skin, makes my complexion more even and is just one of those masks you can always count on. The hero in this product is, like the name suggest, Blackstrap Molasses. The hand-harvested, unrefined Blackstrap Molasses from Paraguay, to be perfectly clear. Rich in iron, calcium and magnesium, if I name a few nutrients, Blackstrap Molasses is a wonderful addition to a vegan diet and this highly bio-available dose of nourishing and skin softening vitamins and minerals is therefore the perfect addition to the blend. But not only that, it also contains detoxifying Hungarian Moor Mud, firming, pore cleansing Moroccan Lava Clay, anti-aging and anti-acne Organic Carrot Seed oil with its brown spot reducing properties and a few more. Love.

Next is Nap in the Meadow Face Serum ($52). I recently wrote a review about this beautiful skincare product. Nap in the Meadow is an ultra-lightweight aloe-based serum that looks minty or light blue. It's super lightweight, almost-liquid and is quickly absorbed into the skin. It packs such a punch to the skin that you wouldn't believe. It gives my skin a high dose of hydration, it's very refreshing and cooling, which I find extremely calming. Not only does it feel soothing because of the texture and the fact that I keep it in the fridge, it actually has strong anti-inflammatory benefits. The fact that it provides antioxidants and has anti-aging benefits, is just another plus. So much love.

Last but certainly not least is the Passion Eye Serum ($54), one of the newest Earthwise Beauty products. I haven't been using it for long but so far so good. I like it. It contains some beautiful hydrating, firming and nourishing ingredients, ingredients that address puffiness and dark under-eye circles like Green Coffe Bean and Andiroba Oils. It's quite fast absorbing, which is surprising especially if you think that it's a mix of oils and butters. I love that it's based on Amaranth Oil (which I'm already loving since trying Gaia Creams Oat & Amaranth Serum). It also doesn't contain any essential oils so it really is a great under eye product. It's a lovely product and I'm excited to keep on using it.

This giveaway is worth $150 and is international. All my Slovenian babes (and Europeans) don't have to worry about shipping and customs, since I will be sending out the products.

Giveaway rules are (with a slight change then when I posted them originally):

2. Sign up to Earthwise Beauty newsletter (optional)
3. Follow @smallbitsofloveliness and @earthwisebeauty on Instagram (mandatory)

Goddess Provisions Box

November 13, 2016

Today is finally the day when I’m going to talk about a new-to-me subscription box, the Goddess Provisions. I was lucky enough to receive their Radiate Good Energy box*. Before I move to the content of the box, let me say a few words about the subscription itself. What is Goddess Provision? It’s a monthly box in which you will find 4 to 6 full size products including: Crystals, Apothecary Beauty, Super Food Snacks, Aromatherapy, Tools for Spiritual Growth and Tea. How fun is that? This year I dabbled into the world of crystals so the thought of receiving a box containing crystals made me extremely excited. There were two so I was most happy about that. Of course the other products in the box are lovely as well.
First is the Dancing Love Organics Chic Chouli Reinvent & Transform Body Oil. Patchouli remixed with a unique, softened aroma meant to ground and inspire you. They took a classic Patchouli and softened the aroma a touch by adding additional essential oils for our one of a kind remix, including Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang and four other grounding earthy essential oils. This body oil is different since it comes with its very own Malachite stone. I’m really drawn to it, it’s so beautiful! Instead of simply applying the oil and reap its nourishing benefits, the brand wants us to take a moment with this oil to acknowledge what you have accomplished in this journey. Give yourself love for this and imagine the infinite possibilities that await you. Beautiful, isn’t it? I think we should be more mindful and give out lots of good energy and thoughts to the universe. It will only do us good, don’t you agree? I’m also loving their colourful design.

Enemy to Fashion Pin – Positive Vibes Only. Indeed! A wonderful reminder.

Blue Lotus Golden Masala Chai Tea with the addition of Turmeric, known for its anti-inflammatory benefits (you surely know how I love this wonderful yellow spice!), and Maca, known for its mood and energy boosting qualities. This spicy chai tea (black tea + spices) is a bit different than what I'm used to. There is no need for steeping this tea. It comes in a powder and all you need to do is mix it with hot water. Done. I also add some oat milk and a teaspoon of honey. So delicious. Let me also add that it comes with a cute little bamboo scoop to make the whole experience even nicer.

Momoko Therapeutics Towards the Within Smudge Spray. This spray combines Palo Santo, Egyptian Frankincense, Sage and a blend of essential oils to help you cleanse yourself and your home of negative energy. I’m absolutely loving all this “out with the bad, in with the good vibes”!
Moon Souls Soap. Pink grapefruit scented crystal point soap that was handmade in small batches with lots of love. Unfortunately the cute looking pink soap isn’t on my photos because I already used it. Looks like this, only pink.

Blue Sage Smudge Stick. This lovely stick is used for cleansing the space, your space, and cyrstals from any negative energy. When receiving a new crystal you should cleanse it before use, so it doesn’t have any unwanted negative energy, and sage smudge sticks work great for that. Water, sun and moon work too.
Sodalite Wand. The blue Sodalite is a stone for communication and is strongly linked with the throat chakra. I will say that I’m not particularly drawn to this stone (which is the case with stones and crystals – you should pick them based on your feelings), but I’m drawn to the description of it. "It’s great to have around during times of transition when you’re finally ready to speak your truth. Sharing your truth isn’t always easy, but it creates space for good vibes to flow to you." All about them good vibes!
I love all the good energy coming from this box, love! Unfortunately this lovely box is no longer available, because I took too long to write this review, but they have a new one and I'm sure it is equally exciting. The Goddess Provisions boxes go for $33 per month + shipping which depends on where you live (free U.S. shipping, $10 to Canada and $20 international). If you like the look and sound of Goddess Provision boxes, you can subscribe here.

Much love,

Jana xx

Earthwise Beauty Nap in the Meadow Face Serum

November 12, 2016

As you may have noticed, I am a massive fan of Earthwise Beauty products. Massive! Today I’m going to review one of my absolute favourite products created and hand blended by the wonderful Ava. I’ve already mentioned Nap in the Meadow in one of my previous post and as said, I’ve been using it for a good few weeks.
Not sure with what I should start first, the ingredients, the name, the skin benefits, the colour, oh my goodness this product is so good! Let’s start with the obvious thing. I’m not sure what I love most, the name or the colour of it. Nap in the meadow. Yes, please! Sounds dreamy. The light, pale blue goes just perfectly with the name, doesn’t it? There was this on time when I was speaking to this random guy on a train and he said he was picturing me in a flowy, pale blue dress walking or dancing in a field of flowers. Haha how random is this? Well Nap in the Meadow reminded me of that and even though the experience itself was a bit strange and slightly creepy (I mean who says something like that to a stranger?), this memory was just another thing that drawn me to the product. So yes, I love the name and the colour of the product, but the ingredients are actually the most important thing when it comes to skincare. And here comes turmeric.

In my opinion, turmeric is one of the best skincare ingredients. It works so well for my skin and I always want to try products with this magical yellow spice. I’m using turmeric and honey mask on a regular. Turmeric is very anti-inflammatory, brightening and contains loads of antioxidants. Besides Turmeric CO2 Supercritical Extract, this product also contains some other amazing anti-inflammatory ingredients. The first is deep blue Yarrow Oil from Bulgaria, distilled from white yarrow flowers, and is one of the top anti-inflammatory essential oils, along with German Blue Chamomile (distilled oil is dark blue) and Helichrysum. All this in the Nap in the Meadow. They used two Helichrysum or Italian everlasting essential oils in this beautiful product, one from Croatia and one from Bosnia. They each contribute slightly different chemical compositions and scents. Helichrysum oils are very expensive and the number one essential oil for revitalizing skin tissue in an utterly soothing manner (helichrysum is so mild, it can be used undilluted on burns). Plus more, all based in a cold-pressed Aloe Leaf Juice. Can't forget the meadow wildflower essences, all made by Ava - White Yarrow (for protection), Silvery Lupine (for strength, longevity; youth preserving), Wild Rose (youth, beauty, skin firmness), and Pink Phlox (to preserve one's gentle qualities and innocence).
Which is everything I need at this time when I'm dealing with my over the place hormones. I'm taking care of them with seeds and seed cycling. You should definitely google this if you're struggling with hormones, painful, strong periods and other similar problems. Back to Nap, which is my nickname for the product. So, not only that it's hydrating and anti-inflammatory, this baby also helps with reducing hyperpigmentation spots, like acne scarring and spots caused by sun. The fact that it provides antioxidants and has anti-aging benefits, is just another plus. Like it needed any more.
Nap in the Meadow is suitable for all skin types, especially dry, mature, acne, combination, oily, with eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis. It's cruelty free, vegan, cold process, handcrafted. I almost used the whole bottle of it (30ml) and I already repurchased it. So you know it's good. This product isn't that affordable but the fact that I ordered a second bottle of it, must mean something. Obseesed.

You can get it here. Use my discount code "Loveliness" and get 15% off.

Much love,

Jana xx

Update. I no longer use this product because I found out that it contains a questionable ingredient Polysorbate 20 and I don't feel comfortable using a product containing it. Polysorbate 20 is an emulsifier created with carcinogenic ethylene oxide and can subsequently be contaminated with
1,4 dioxane. I talked to Ava about it and I really respect that she talked with me, was open about my arguments and listened to me. She is now testing new options and I'm excited to see the Nap without polysorbate 20.

Another update. Nap in the Meadow is now free from polysorbate 20!! Ava reformulated the serum which now contains potassium sorbate as a preservative. I haven't used the new formulation yet but I bet it's as amazing as it was minus that meh ingredient. I'm so happy and thankful that I can use this blue gold again. :)

RMS Beauty "Un" Cover-up

November 07, 2016

RMS Beauty is a brand that was always on my radar. So far I’ve only tried their Living Luminizer, which I mentioned in this post. A gorgeous product by the way. It’s a natural-looking highlighter that gives a beautiful glow to the skin. I love  it! Do I feel the same about the “Un” Cover-up?
RMS Beauuty "Un" Cover-up* is a concealer, formulated to reveal and enhance healthier looking skin…not just cover it up. Based on certified organic oils, like Coconut, Castor and Jojoba Oils, Cocoa Butter and Beeswax, this product is really hydrating and such a pleasure to use. I absolutely love to apply it with my finger (I didn’t even try it any other way because I just don’t feel the need to). It beautifully melts on contact with the skin. As this product is so soft and “melty” I don’t feel like applying it on my spots but only under my eyes. In the product description it is said that it also heals, so maybe I should try and use it on my spots as well. Who knows. On the other hand, not everybody's skin reacts well to Coconut Oil.

“Un” Cover-up is quite lightweight and sits great on the skin under my eyes. They describe it as completely lightweight which it is if I compare it to some other rich, highly pigmented and creamy concealers. But some concealers are even more lightweight so I’m saying it’s quite lightweight. I haven’t  experienced much problems with creasing, but there were a few times when it didn’t work the best with my eye cream. So if you have a very hydrating cream, like the Bottega Organica eye cream is, and don’t have the time to wait to be completely absorbed into the skin, then do use a very small amount of it. Or apply a tiny bit of foundation before the concealer or maybe tap some off with a clean tissue.
I have the shade number 11 which is a pale shade with a subtle yellow base. It’s the perfect shade for under my eyes. I’d say it has a light to medium coverage, a nice coverage but not a full on high coverage, if that’s what you are looking for. The thing I love most about it is that it gives a radiant look to eye area, which is all one needs at 6 am in the morning. I definitely agree with the description – it will reveal more youthful and radiant skin...and it rejuvenates the skin. It does that and perhaps that is also the case that I don’t use it on my spots. Don’t need any more light and radiance on them.

This product can also be used as a foundation, which I haven’t tried but I have a feeling it could look very lovely and natural.

I like it! You can get this product at Love Lula.

Rachel's Plan Bee Jasmine Body Oil Giveaway!

November 03, 2016

Hi my loves! Hope you are all well. I sure am because I have a beautiful giveaway for you today. So excited!! I've teamed up with the ever so lovely Rachel from Rachel's Plan Bee and she is giving away some goodies. How generous and kind is she?! Love. Love her and her products. Not that other products didn't impress me (body polishes are oh so ah-mazing!) but the one I've been really obsessed with is the Jasmine Body Oil. This stunning oil was created in collaboration with the lovely Kim from Kimberly Loc, a fellow green beauty blogger babe. At first this body oil was a limited edition body oil, but then it quickly found its well deserving place in the permanent collection of Rachel's products. And isn't that a thing to celebrate?? I've mentioned this oil more than once, here and on my Instagram. The review of Jasmine Body Oil is here if you want a read, and I also mentioned it in one of my latest blog posts here. Not to mention the post The Dream Team by Rachel's Plan Bee.
I described the oil as a "heaven in a bottle" and it really is that good. The complex scent of Jasmine, Rose, Vanilla and Sweet Orange is so beautiful, inviting and just incredible. It lasts all day long!<3 This body oil is the only oil I've used that I've received lovely comments on what I'm wearing. I also agree with Lilly (of Genuine Glow) saying "it's one of the most beautiful scents I have ever smelled" and Sam (Sam with Style) "paradise for your skin in a bottle". Besides the most gorgeous Jasmine scent there is, the body oil also has a wonderful lightweight yet moisturizing consistency. It's quickly absorbed into the skin leaving it soft, smooth and hydrated.
I'm sure you have all figured it by now what is the giveaway prize. It's the wonderful Jasmine Body Oil of course! Yay! Plus a goodie bag of samples. Double yay! The giveaway is international and everyone can enter. Just make sure to fill in the Rafflecopter form

The rules are:

3. Follow me and Rachel's Plan Bee on Instagram (and Kim as well if you wish to since the oil was created in collaboration with her) (optional),
4. Like and repost this photo on Instagram and use a hashtag #givingawayloveliness (optional).

I wish you all the best of luck!
