True Botanicals Exfoliating Moisture Mask

May 15, 2016

Hello ladies! How are you all doing on this fine day? A while back Beauty Heroes shared an amazing news on their Instagram account. Any guesses? Well, they announced that I'm one of the Beauty Heroes Brand Ambassadors! We did a little Q&A so if you're interested in learning a little bit more about me, go and check it out here. Oh my goodness, I still can't believe it! Feel so lucky, excited, honoured and grateful. Love. You can read more about Beauty Heroes here. It's the best green beauty subscription box out there. Seriously! Each month you get a beautiful selection of a carefully selected full-size (not sample!) Hero Product that fits the season and delivers results, rotating between skin, body, sun, hair care and makeup products. You usually also get at least one extra product, and a mini Hero mask. Beauty Heroes selects one clean beauty company each month to bring us the freshest batch of their star performer.

I've been lucky enough to receive three Beauty Heroes boxes and so far my favourite has definitely been the April box with "Nature is Luxury" theme. May's box has been really, really successful and was actually sold out! Ah-mazing! Unfortunately you can't get it anymore but you can subscribe to get the next, the June box. But in the meantime hop to their Beauty Store where you can also get the product I want to talk about today.

As mentioned in one of my previous posts, April's Beauty Box featured the stunning and most luxurious green brand - True Nature Botanicals or True Botanicals, as it's known now. The Hero product in the box was the Exfoliating Moisture Mask*. A skin revival mask formulated with replenishing moisture-loving lactic acid derived from beets, this mask actively exfoliates lifeless skin, awakens natural collagen product and boosts hyaluronic acid levels, transforming skin from dull to dewy in just a few minutes. And it's as awesome as it sounds!

The mask contains gorgeous ingredients like Green and White Tea, Mango and Avocado Butter, Potato Flour (love to drink and eat all these!), essential oils of Tuberose, Jasmine and Neroli, to name almost all of them. Based on the three flowers, I did though it would smell lovely but it doesn't. No biggie, it's not a perfume or body oil that it would need an amazing scent. But it does provide amazing results.

I massage it onto clean dry skin and leave on for 5 minutes. For sensitive skin apply only for 3 minutes. It was that one time that I left it on for more than the recommended time, for 10 minutes!, and after I washed it off my face, I could squeeze out every single spot I managed to find on my skin. I know, I know, you aren't supposed to squeeze and mess with your skin but sometimes it happens. #sorrynotsorry Mask tingles a bit, but doesn't burn or anything like that and surprisingly, I never experienced red or even slightly irritated skin after using it. After washing it off my skin looks brighter and the complexion is smoother and softer. The only thing you need to worry about is to only use it in the evenings and to always use a sunscreen in the morning to protect your skin.
I love a quick and effective mask and this one is definitely that. And it also gives your skin little extra antioxidants, which always do good for the skin. The mask is expensive ($90) but you can get a discount for 15% off if you subscribe to Beauty Heroes. That's way this non-toxic beauty discovery service is so good, because you get such luxurious products for $39 a month. As mentioned before, the May box featuring Mahalo is already sold out so unfortunately you can't get it anymore, but I'm most excited to share with you the June box featuring ... (can't tell you yet which brand is going to be :P ). I'm patiently waiting for it to arrive, but I have a feeling Beauty Heroes June box is going to be a pretty one. :)

Much love to you all,

Jana xx
