Yesterday I wrote about skincare I took with me on a recent trip and today I’ll talk makeup. 🙂
So’Bio
Etic BB Cream – yellow based BB cream which I wouldn’t even call a BB
cream because it has an awesome coverage. In my mind, BB creams are more
light and sheer, but this one works like a foundation. It can cling to
dry patches but other than that it is a beautiful foundation and
surprisingly, it is a wonderful match for my skin tone.
Lavera Cover Stick in Ivory – I like to use this creamy concealer on areas where I need more
coverage, especially where I have some hyperpigmentation. It isn’t completely full
coverage, more like medium but it is quite nice. Not for under eyes
though, I think it’s too heavy for the delicate skin around the eyes.
Sante
Coverstick No. 01 – I like using this under my eyes because it has a
slight pink/salmon undertone which counteracts dark under eye circles.
It’s creamy and it doesn’t set into fine lines.
Terra
Naturi Concealer in Honey 02 – I apply this one on top of the Sante
Coverstick because I like a bit more coverage. Works as a brightener too.
Lavera
Eye Shadow Base – I don’t think this primer does anything special.
Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don’t. I wouldn’t recommend it. I
actually prefer using loose setting powder to prime my lids. Eye shadows also apply more evenly and easily that way.
Terra Naturi Eyebrow Powder in All In One 01 – my fav eyebrow product. Great colors that last all day. More here.
Terra Naturi Bronzing Powder Duo in Sunny Bronze – not the most natural brand out there, but I still use some of their products because they are really affordable and they do the job really well. This one does contain Talc, which isn’t the loveliest ingredient, so beware if you’re avoiding it. I don’t use this bronzer all the time, so I’m fine with it for now. Bronzer gives a touch of colour to the skin and that beautiful sun-kissed glow.
100% Pure Pretty Naked Palette – I was fortunate enough to win this beautiful palette, and some other goodies, in an Instagram giveaway. The ingredients of this palette are gorgeous and even though it looks gorgeous, I’m not as impressed as I was hoping to be. Highlighter Luminizer is too pink for me, blush Pretty Naked is a lovely every day shade but it can look a bit patchy on the skin. Other three shades are eye shadows and the one I really love is the darkest one, Chestnut. Such a beautiful brown shimmery shade. It’s a nice palette, especially if you’re a fan of neutral look. I like it, but I can’t say I love it. But it is a great one for travel!
Tana
Eyelash Curlers – I’ve been using these curlers for a few years now. I
don’t know if they are still available in our local drugstores. I have
to buy those little rubber pads on eBay. I can’t imagine applying
mascara without them, they are everything.
Avril Le Mascara* – (got it from Eco Natural Products) I really like this mascara! The formula is pretty dry, more than I’m used to, but I figured out the best way to apply it and I’m in love. I don’t wait for the first coat to dry like I do with Terra Naturi Effect Mascara, but rather apply the second coat right after the first one. Sometimes I also apply a third coat when it is dry. It’s an all over good mascara, it makes my lashes black, holds the curl, it’s lengthening and voluminizing. Lily Lolo still beats it but it’s a great one none the less.
Alverde Kajal Eyeliner in Pearly White – it’s not super pearly like the name would suggest. I actually have to look really close to even see some shimmer, which is a good thing, because I’m not really too much into glitter. The pigmentation is good, it’s long lasting and super creamy. I love that it’s an off white colour so it doesn’t look too star struck when wearing it. For €3 or something like that, it’s great!
Benecos Natural Kajal in Brown – a beautiful matte brown shade. Not as creamy as the Alverde one, but still super lovely and nice to use. It’s long lasting and doesn’t really smudge on me. I like Benecos eye pencils, here I’m wearing a blue one.
RMS Living Luminizer* – this highlighter is as gorgeous as everyone says it is! It gives an absolutely gorgeous shine that looks super natural. I’m so in love with it. The creamy consistency, the ingredients and the packaging are beautiful. <3
Hurraw Night Treatment Balm – gorgeous lip balm with a lovely scent of chamomile.
Crazy Rumors Plum Apricot Lip Balm – not the most moisturizing lip balm but it has one of the best candy scents.
Terra Naturi Lipstick in Rose Wood – an absolutely gorgeous every day lipstick shade, it’s that “my lips, but better” shade. It’s creamy, moisturizing and just a dream to wear. It feels like you’re wearing a lip balm and you should definitely go and check this one out.
Ilia Lipstick in Ink Pot* – this one is my fave lipstick at the moment. A bold violet shade that can be worn as a berry stain or a full on rich purple. It can settle into fine lines, so a lip scrub is a must before wearing it and it can also wear off quite uneven, but I still love it because it leaves a stain and it is quite long-lasting. I’m thinking of getting another shade but I just ordered two Elate lipsticks so for now I’ll just live with one Ilia lipstick. More about Ink Pot here.
Lily Lolo Makeup Mist*
– I got this as a surprise gift from the ever so lovely Nina at
LilyLolo.si and I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. I don’t use it
every day so it’s hard for me to tell you how long one bottle lasts,
but for me it’s still going strong. At least I think so. 🙂 I like using
rose toner to set my makeup so having a “proper” makeup mist is a nice
addition. Ingredients are fine but I will quote a friend Masha from
Instagram, “looks like water with preservatives and a tiny splash of
good stuff to me”. I also don’t like the spray nozzle which doesn’t work
properly. The mist isn’t distributed evenly which is annoying. Other
than that it is refreshing and gives my makeup a nice finish.
Inika
Mineral Setting Powder – nice setting powder that I like to use under
my eyes and on forehead, or sometimes just all over my face.
LURK Perfume RSW 005* – not makeup but it was hidden in my makeup bag. Still loving this organic perfume oil with warm sandalwood and earthy rose with crisp citrus finish. More here.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
Have a lovely day,
Jana xx
