In the last couple of years probably the most "in" and hipster accessories have been made from wood. Besides the "normal" stuff, like necklaces and rings, you can now elso get wooden sunglasses, polaroid cameras and phone cases. I was into wooden rings back in the days and my cousin also made me one, so cool he can do that! Well, now I also own a beautiful wooden watch. Yes, watch! :) It's from an American brand Jord. Jord is a Swedish word meaning 'earth, soil or land'. Their watches are made from different types of wood, like Ebony, Zebrawood, Rosewood, Purpleheart. I picked a watch that is made from Sandalwood, the Fieldcrest Dark Sandalwood*. Like you can see on the photos below, the watch is made of dark brown Sandalwood which goes perfectly with almost anything and everything I wear. It is surprisingly lightweight, I really didn't expect that, and is of great quality. Obviously it's not water resistant but it is considered as splash proof. That means full submergence in water is not recommended both for the integrity of the movement and the wood itself, but for everyday use it's all good. I really like wearing the watch and I also got a few lovely compliments about it. No wonder, just look at it. :)
What do you think about it? :)
They also have some other amazing watches, you should definitely check them out here.
