Pred kratkim, no že lansko leto, me je kontaktirala prijazna Annie, ki piše super blog Wild Heart Native Soul (včasih znan kot The Holistic Manicurist).

- nastrgano lupino polovice limete,
- nastrgano lupino polovice limone,
- 2 žlici kokosovega olja,
- 2 žlici jojobinega olja in
- 1 žličko vitamina E.

Postopek priprave:
1. Zmešajte kokosovo olje, da postane tekoče.
2. Dodajte mokre sestavine in zmešajte.
2. Dodajte preostale sestavine in dobro premešajte.

Uporaba:

Translation
A while ago I was contacted by the lovely Annie from the beautiful Wild Heart Native Soul. We started chatting and as we're both obsessed with DIY products we quickly decided to do a DIY green beauty swap. I was so excited to get the parcel from Annie, you can't even imagine! :) You can see here what I sent her, but let's rather move on to her gorgeous Lemon + Lime Salt Scrub with a delicious and fresh citrusy scent. Scrub made my skin super soft, smooth and also moisturized. Annie was also kind enough to include her recipe so I can share it with you guys! Awesome, right?! :)

So, for this beautiful scrub you'll need:
- 1/2 cup Epsom salt,
- 2 tbs Lime juice,
- 2 tbs Lemon juice,
- zest of half a lime,
- zest of half a lemon,
- 2 tbs coconut oil,
- 2 tbs jojoba oil and
- 1 tsp vitamin E oil.

Method:
1. Mash the coconut oil until smooth.
2. Add wet ingredients and combine.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

To use:
1. Rub in to the skin in gentle circles, concentrating on any areas of dry skin.
2. Rinse with warm water.
3. Pat dry, then apply your favourite natural moisturiser.

This scrub was so lovely to use, I love the fresh scent and as I've already said, it made my skin so soft and smooth. The thing I would point out is that you give it a quick stir before using it, because the oil can separate from other ingredients. And even though it contains vitamin E oil, which acts as a preservative, you have to use this scrub in a week. And keep it in the fridge so it's stays fresh. I will say that I didn't even think about that and I totally forgot to store in the fridge so unfortunately it went bad. Next time I will make a smaller batch and quickly use it up. Nonetheless, the scrub was great and you definitely have to give it a go!

Love,
Jana xx

    1. Thanks Rowie, so happy you liked it! :)) Yes, I'd only recommend it for your body and not face, because salt can be pretty harsh and it can do more damage than good on a face. :)

  2. Such a lovely concept! I definitely want to give this a try. I love swapping to begin with, but to give it a more meaningful detail of making it by yourself adds something special.
