Green Mask

August 12, 2014

Green Mask, Green Clay, Neem Powder, Honey
Glina vpija odvečno maščobo, odstranjuje nečistoče in toksine, oži pore, revitalizira kožo in spodbuja naravno obnovo celic. Glina kožo tonira, učvrsti in spodbudi cirkulacijo krvi.

Uporabni so vsi deli rastlini, moj neem prah oziroma Bioparkov Neem prah vsebuje zmlete liste drevesa. Deluje antiseptično, antibakterijsko in antioksidantno.

Green Clay, Neem Powder and Honey Mask
Green Mask with Green Clay, Neem Powder and Eucalyptus Honey

Translation
In this post I mentioned my new favourite green mask and because I really love using it, I decided to write a post about it. It's a wonderful mask for which you only need three ingredients. If you have oily, acne-prone or combo skin, or if you just want a bit of a nice skin detox, then this mask will be perfect for you!
Green Clay is rich with minerals like iron, silicon, magnesium, calcium, zinc and so on. Clay absorbs and removes excess oil, draws out pollutants and gently tones for a deep down clean. It helps to shrink pores while also refreshing the skin. Perfect for oily and combination skin. At the moment I'm all about green clay I got from my friend who was in Greece, but I also have Green Clay from Biopark which is lovely as well.
Neem, also known as Nimtree and Indina Lilac is a tree with white flowers and fruits, discovered in India more than 2000 years ago. It's also known as "Sacred Tree" and due to its exceptional healing properties is one of the most common ingredients in Ayurvedic medicine. All parts of the plant can be used, my neem powder from Biopark contains ground leaves of the tree. Neem acts as an antiseptic, antibacterial and antioxidant. It's perfect for oily, acne-prone skin, it treats skin rashes, redness, itching, diminishes the appearance of scars and hyperpigmentation, it soothes and moisturizes dry skin. Neem is great for all skin types, even for eczema.
Honey is the best ingredient for my skin. I absolutely adore it! You can read more about my love for honey here, it works wonders on all skin types, it's moisturizing and soothing, it has antiseptic properties and therefore also amazing for acne-prone skin.
So for my gorgeous green mask, green in color and in ingredients, you'll need, half a teaspoon of green clay and the same amount of neem, and one teaspoon of honey. Mix all together, apply on freshly washed face and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. If you are allergic to honey or you don't want to use it, you can use water, tea or oil. I love using this mask right after my facial steaming when my pores are softened and my skin is warm. That way all the gorgeous ingredients penetrate deeper into my skin and the end result is even better. Mask leaves my skin fresh, moisturized, soft, deeply cleansed and detoxified. I love using it once a week, sometimes even twice if my skin is not feeling to happy.

Much love,
Jana xx
