Eco Cosmetics Sunscreen SPF 30

August 06, 2014

Sadly, we are almost at the end of the summer but that doesn't stop me from writing about a sunscreen. For a while now I wanted to try products from a German brand Eco Cosmetics and I was really happy when I got their Sunscreen in SPF 30*. It's cruelty free, vegan, without parabens, PEG, synthetic dyes, perfumes and preservatives.
The active ingredient is non-nano titanium dioxide, which is great because it doesn't penetrate into the skin but the big negative thing with non-nano mineral filters is, the sunscreen is difficult to apply. You really have to massage it in and it still can leave a whitish/grey residue, especially on the face. Sunscreen actually contains a few beautiful oils like olive, evening primrose, sea buckthorn, macadamia, rose and rice bran oil to name a few. And although I love oils, the mixture of this sunscreen is too heavy and oily for my face. My skin doesn't agree with it and on a daily basis I can't use it. I can only use it for about three days in a row because it slightly clogs my pores. Good for vacation, bad for everyday use. For oily skin I wouldn't recommend it and in general I think it's best to use it on the body. All in all, the sunscreen works, you just need to be a bit more patient when applying it. But I do wish it had a lighter consistency so I could use it everday.

Tell me, what is your favourite sunscreen? Have you tried anything from Eco Cosmetics?
