After Workout Vegan Breakfast

Saj poznate Cassey in Blogilates, kajne? No, v začetku maja sem se končno lotila programa po njenem majskem koledarju, #ahMAYzing. Zaenkrat mi gre odlično in mislim, da bom z novim koledarjem nadaljevala še naprej v juniju. Če le lahko, najraje telovadim zjutraj in po telovadbi se vedno prileže zdrav, hranljiv in okusen zajtrk. Pogosto so to smutiji, za bolj nasiten zajtrk pa se običajno zatečem k ovsenim kosmičem, ki jih obožujem tako v mojem želodčku kot na obrazu (maska z ovsenimi kosmiči).

 Za odličen zajtrk torej potrebujete:
- ovsene kosmiče (tiste cele in ne mlete, najraje imam DM-ove),
- rastlinsko mleko (običajno poleg mleka dodam še malo vode),
- pest rozin,
- žlico chia semen,
- banano,
- jagode in borovnice.

Recept seveda lahko prilagodite, namesto banane lahko uporabite jabolko, namesto rozin brusnice ali pa kar oboje, brez chia semen in tako naprej. Po mojem receptu pa najprej obvezno čez noč namočite ovsene kosmiče. Fitinska kislina v ovoju lahko blokira absorpcijo pomembnih mineralov, kot je na primer železo. Seveda želimo, da se minerali najbolje absorbirajo in z namakanjem nevtraliziramo del kisline. Skrajšamo pa tudi čas kuhanja. Kosmiče zjutraj splaknite z vodo in dajte v ponev ali posodo. Prilijte mleko in vodo, kar malo po občutku. Raje manj kot več, med kuhanjem še vedno lahko dodate. Kuhajte približno 10 minut in nato primešajte narezano banano, rozine in chia semena. Pustite še par minut in kosmiči so končani. :) Stresite v skodelico ter potresite z borovnicami in jagodami. Njam!<3

You all know about Cassey and Blogilates right? I've always loved her videos but in the beginning of May I've finally started her monthly calendar, #ahMAYzing. So far I'm doing great and I think I will continue with her new June calendar when it comes out. If I can, I work out in the mornings and the main thing that keeps me going is the thought of a nice healthy, nutritious and delicious breakfast. I often go for smoothies but if I want something more I usually turn to porridge or oatmeal.

So, for my kind of breakfast you'll need:
- oats,
- rice or some other vegan milk,
- handful of raisins,
- one tablespoon of chia seeds,
- one banana,
- blueberries and strawberries.

You can easily adapt this recipe, go for apple instead of banana, use cranberries instead of raisins and so on. If you want to follow my recipe than you first need to soak up your oats overnight. Phytic acid in the oats can block the absorption of essential minerals such as iron. We can neutralized the acid by soaking them and that way the minerals can be absorbed properly. In the morning rinse them with water and place into cooking pan. Add a bit of water and milk, rather less than more. You can always add some more. Simmer for about 10 minutes and then stir in chopped banana, raisins and chia seeds. Leave for a few minutes and you're almost finished! Pour into a cup and sprinkle with blueberries and strawberries. Done! :) 
And be sure to also add some cinnamon, I ran out so it's not in the recipe.

    I used to do her workouts before, but I also only started to follow her calendar this month and I have to say I absolutely love it :)

  3. Super recept. Jaz si ponavadi zjutraj pred službo nič ne kuham, raje pojem kako sadje z jogurtom, ker se hitreje pripravi, bo pa tole super za večerjo. :)

  4. Joj jaz sem pa lena in ko vstanem se zbujam ful časa tako da raje vadbo prestavim.
    Podobne zajtrke imam tudi jaz, ali pa grški jogurt/skata in sadje, smutiji.
    Mam eno nov "recept" ki sem zadnje čase res nora nanj...prekuhaš riž, dodaš koksovo mleko in kokos, zmiksaš in ješ...lahko dodaš tudi sadje- je nasitno pa hkrati lahek obrok.
